I can say I've been there now so that's something. The hotel was beautiful but the rooms were very plain. There was no dvd player which would have come in handy since my husband decided almost immediately that he hated the smell of the hot tub water. Also we were not used to being in a hotel away from anything interesting (tree watching= not our thing) and found ourselves trapped and bored with nowhere to walk to. plus, on top of the room fee and crazy hotel taxes, we got charged a $15 resort fee plus tax which I can only imagine is for requesting an ice delivery since our room was far from the main desk and up a steep hill.
Of course I may be being harsh because I am comparing Sycamore to Avila La Fonda which we loved loved loved.

We had a wonderful stay in "compassion" you walk across a walking bridge to reach this beautiful scenic cabin area. Hot tub on patio clean. Room clean bed comfortable. Quiet area. However I did see family's as a mother of four I can suggest this is a couples place. The children would get bored and loud.

Just what we needed, so glad I reserved the king suite! No noisy neighbors. We walked the Bob Jones Trail. Dinner at the restaurant - Garden of Avila was just spectacular!!! We had the chef's tasting menu with wine pairing...excellent!

Enjoyed the stay, clean room, very comfortable bed. Little more noisy than we would have wished. Couple below us with a crying baby, wasn't expected at a spa. Parking was terrible. Massage was great..

Rooms are in dire need of updating. The spahe deck was cracked.
Toilet would not flush properly. Fire place was inoperable. Fixtures were all original dating back to the 80's. shower head unmovable and sprayed out the door when turned on.
