“Beautiful Mission”

... The downside was all the field trips taking place- to be expected but I wish we could've found a less busy time to wander :) loved this mission though and highly recommend. Street parking- 3 hours free! - around the "side" near West Gate.

“Such a nice place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I went here on our first date, so when I was back in the area for business I decided to go see it again. While not cheap for admission, I can only imagine how much it costs for upkeep and restoration of this old historic site. The grounds are very well kept, and there is plenty of signage and museum sets to give you the sense of what life was like during mission times.

I did not try the included audio tour, opting instead with my limited time to just survey the grounds and join a guided tour later. I really like how they've converted several of the old buildings into climate controlled exhibit halls to preserve artifacts from the mission times. Also, the tour guide CJ was excellent, really bringing a historical perspective to the mission grounds that you just can't get anywhere else.

A wonderful place to visit and spend several hours!

“Must visit here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

This is one of my favorite place to visit. Feel very fortunate I live so close by. First Saturday in December is must. Not too big but you can also walk around the town, check out shops, definitely all day plus things to see and do.

“Worth to go”

Not as big as I thought it would be but definitely surprise you with its different style of buildings. Some parts are very Europe, some are Egyptian and the rest looks tropical. Worth a visit definitely.
