Stopped in for some Huevos Rancheros the other weekend during the Art & Craft Festival in town.
The place was packed since there were so many people in town for the event. They also had a buffet set up but we opted for the regular menu.
They had a strolling mariachi band playing for the entertainment of the patrons, nice touch.
The chef had a special salsa that is made only on Sundays? I think. It was very good.

“Friendly”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

After a visit to the Mission, we strolled down to the high street and walked into Dona Esther. Ordered the daily special which was very reasonably priced. The food was very good. My friends also enjoyed their meals. Would definitely recommend.

This is where the locals come back again and again for the good food and Senor Uribe's guitar serenade on the weekends. My favorite is the green artichoke enchilada. A California celebration!

“Buffet was terrible.”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Nothing authentic here. Food is microwaved,
Salsa tasted like out of a jar chips out of bag. More like a semi homemade. No bang for ur buck for sure. Place is old n not homey. Entrance is not inviting.
