This place is hidden in a strip mall at the corner of Santa Teresa and Bernal Ave (between Nob Hill supermarket and Goodwill). It's nothing fancy and the menu is your standard Mexican food choices, but the price is reasonable, the portion size is decent, and the food tastes pretty good.
The best thing is their salsa. It isn't the standard chopped tomatoes with a little onion stuff that you get at a lot of places...this salsa has a bit of a kick to it (not a lot, but there are some chilis and cilantro in there) and the chips are house made. I usually get the Enchiladas Rancheras, but I have had the burritos and fajitas as well. All entrees come with salad, rice, and beans. The rice is the low point of the meal - it has pretty much no flavor, the salad is your standard iceberg with shreds of cabbage stuff, and the beans are decent.
The restaurant is usually pretty empty unless there is a large party there (they do have patio seating and groups do seem to book it a lot). The service is minimal - they take your order and drop off your food, but if you need refills or more tortillas you need to flag someone down.
They also have Sunday brunch here with a live Mariachi music. I heard good things about it, but I haven't made it there yet.
Basically this isn't a place that I crave, but it is decent food at a decent price, and when I don't feel like driving too far and want something filling I go here.
