“The Suite”

We had a one night stay recently at the Radisson and got a really good rate on the Jacuzzi suite. First off, the hotel is located in an odd area. It is not near any main stream eateries or stores. The hotel itself is nice. Not to dressy, but well maintained with a full service restaurant onsite. The energy and vibe of reception at check-in was very pleasant. Our room had a double door entry, which opened into a large living area with a TV and bar. The area also had a small kitchenette with microwave and sink. The bedroom was also pretty large and included a television, more seating, and a nice size closet. We had the king Sleep Number bed, which we were excited to use. It work well as designed, it just wasn’t for us. We ended up making the bed lopsided by choosing different settings for each side of the mattress. The Jacuzzi is really just the bathtub with jets, it is not separate. Overall for an inexpensive comfortable nights sleep, it was a good deal. No bells and whistles attached.

The hotel itself was rather outdated, however it was noticeable they had made several cosmetic updates to various sections of the hotel. The rooms were decent, and quite quiet considering the hotel was sold out the night we stayed there.

As a business traveler however I was incredibly disappointed with the services provided. We rented a conference room for $150 for half day. The room was updated and featured velvet couches and a modern table and chairs. However, we quickly realized that there were only two outlets in the entire room, none of which we were able to use for our laptops as they were too far away from the table. We requested an extension cord, which they in turn charged us $13 for.

The complimentary coffee in the lobby was empty so we ended up ordering coffee for the conference room for $55. Another problem was that the walls were painted brown. We brought our own projection equipment, but had to remove a painting from the wall and project onto the brown surface. It wasn't terrible, but definitely not ideal.

It wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, but as a business professional it didn't make the best impression on me.

As long as you know what to expect, this is a good, comfortable hotel at a budget price if you use hotwire or priceline.

Got a king room on the 5th floor at this standard business hotel for a great price on priceline.com. This is in an accessible area near the airport. (You will need a car in San Jose, even for a short stay; the hotel has free parking.) The service was good; check in and check out were quick and courteous. The public areas are very stylish and appealing; as mentioned before, the rooms could use some updating.

My personal checkpoints were all met: comfortable beds (sleep number beds) with good, clean linens and lots of pillows; clean towels and decent toiletries; bathroom clean with working hair dryer; working coffee maker; closet with hangars, suitcase stand, and iron; a/c worked great. Lots of electrical outlets, lighting options, and a work desk. Also, sliding windows that open about 3" for some fresh air.

Things that might bother some people: scuff marks on wall and bed skirt, water marks or some other stain on fabric of desk chair, marks/snags in carpet. I don't care about wear and tear if the room is clean, but this isn't a luxury stay, and you shouldn't expect it at this price.

A decent pool area for lounging, but the pool was visibly dirty with floating leaves and scum on the bottom. Maybe they don't clean it in October? Again, not an issue for us, but just a note to others.

Also, try the coffee shop in the bowling alley next door for breakfast. Great diner-style food, inexpensive.

Hotel is close to San Jose Airport but not so close that you hear the planes. Getting there takes about 10 min and is real close to 101. Hotel is on kind of an industrial street which is a bit creepy at night. Hotel just looks and feels tired and could do with a major update. AC unit room is loud and for wall controls i had a bunch of wires sticking out the wall aka no thermostat. Room and bed was clean so no complaints there. Staff was cordial and nice and one big plus point of this place is that you can get a decent meal in the hotel at very affordable prices.

We stayed here the night before vacation. Our flight left from the San Jose Airport. So, we stayed one night and left our car parked at the hotel for 14 days (no additional charge). The hotel is clean and comfortable. It is a classic airport hotel. The shuttle bus to the airport is prompt and the driver is very nice. We did have to schedule our ride to the airport, and our first pick of times was full, but our second choice was available.

We will likely stay at this hotel the night before all family vacations where we leave from San Jose.

So a few months back we held a course and coordinated our planning and accommodations through Ms. Charlene Shaughness- it went off without a hitch. Charlene was attentive to our group/class needs, providing us a great price and support. I fully support future business meetings through them...

We stayed one week in a 1 bedroom suite on the 4th floor overlooking the pool. There was a girl's high school basketball convention in town and the hotel was full with conventioneers. There was no noise at all from the B ballers and also no noise form the pool. Great food at both the bar and the restaurant. Try the happy hour at the bar for 1/2 price appetizers & drinks. We made a meal of it. Sushi at restaurant was to die for. Staff was professional and very efficient. Hotel is going through some renovations, but we never noticed any noise and were never inconvenienced by it. All equipment in gym was in excellent shape. Room had wet bar sink, fridge and microwave. Also small table to seat two adults and two kids. Sofa in living room. Very comfortable king bed.

Room Tip: Booked direct with the hotel.
