I was a little disappointed in this hotel. I usually enjoy staying in La Quinta's, but found this one lacking. First of all, it is located in an industrial area, with nothing good nearby (unless you count the Burger King in the parking lot). It looks like it used to be a Motel 6, very nondescript, flat and squat. While they are currently doing renovations, they have a long way to go.
Most of all, DO NOT stay in room #225. This is a strange room that I had the misfortune to get. It has an outside entry whereas all the other rooms I saw are more traditional hotel, and are accessed from an indoor hallway. Being that it is outside, it was pretty loud when airplanes flew overhead, which happened often as the hotel is right next to the airport and must be under a major flight path. The other thing about this room was that BUGS have easy access to it. I think they were getting in under the door, though not sure. At one point during the night, I killed a moth as big as my thumb. No joke. The next morning there were all kinds of various spiders and beetles in the room with me. It was like Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom.
For $125 a night (not including tax) I expect better from La Quinta.More
