“Very Brazilian like”
Reviewed August 26, 2014 via mobile

Good place but not exactly Brazilian - very close though.

Place was packed so that is Always a good sign, But for some people it might be sn issue. But if restaurant is working like a proper Brazilian one service is never going to be an issue. This was the case as well here.

Salad buffee was quite good, lot of variety, so no issues and complaints of that part.

Meet was in some cases over cooked and well done but some cuts were just Perfect.

Meat was not as salty as it is in Brazil and for my taste (again, matter of taste), I would have preferred a little bit more salt on meats.

As mentioned earlier meat was carried on tables quite nicely and frequently so I was happy about that.

Place was not that Americanized so I think that was one of the reasons why I liked this place.

“Fogo de Incredible”
Reviewed August 20, 2014

First bit of advice, go hungry...very hungry!
Fogo De Chao is an incredible restaurant in the upmarket and trendy Santana Row development, it slots into this area perfectly. It is a Brazilian steakhouse where the waiting staff bring around cuts of meat (I think its 12 different types at lunch time, not sure about dinner) and offer them at varying stages of being cooked (rare, medium, well done etc). The meat being served is a joy to eat, it is succulent and attacks your taste buds with flavour.
The salad bar was alot better than I expected, it wasn't just the standard setup that is offered in most places. A couple of my colleagues didn't goto it as they had been before, their reason being it would fill them up for the main course.

The only criticism I have of the place is that I had to return to work that afternoon and couldn't go for a sleep instead. As the review started, same bit of advice, go hungry!

“Fogo de WoW!!!”
Reviewed August 14, 2014

This Brazilian Steakhouse is not for the timid. If you love meat, then you have found paradise. With at least twelve different skewered meat selections to experience, including their signature prime cut of top sirloin, the taste buds fall victim to succulent, robust, lightly seasoned and juicy moments of decadent dining. My joy is fully expressed in sound effects. You almost can't help but breath deeply and sigh with such savage contentment with every bite. Review the menu for a variety of superbly grilled meat items to get ready for the showdown. I say showdown because the dining experience is limitless. Yes, that's right...it just keeps coming. As long as you indicate with your special place holder, the green side, you can expect to be waited on like royalty. It may appear overwhelming, but you can control your portions, selections and timing of service.
The dining experience includes linen covered table cloths, beautiful flatware and exquisite flower arrangements that grace the salad bar. The wine bar itself is encased in a beautiful glass wall for all eyes and palettes to mull over. The music makes you want to dance, but you can't seem to move. Lighting provides perfect ambiance. Loved the fresh presentation of the salad bar selections, standard and really different choices like the jumbo asparagus and smoked salmon. Didn't even get to dessert. I am a glutton for carnivorous punishment with no apologies. It gets busy and can be a little noisy, but who cares when you are getting fat and sassy...it's the Brazilian way!

“Very nice dining experience”
Reviewed August 5, 2014 via mobile

My son recommended this after our first choice for a restaurant fell through for our anniversary dinner. He chose well...we had a very good time here. It is a bit pricey so make sure you go hungry. As recommended by others, we had to pace ourselves. The salad bar was very good and presented our first challenge to not over do it before the main course(s). The meat was all excellent and almost all servings met my request for medium rare. The filet mignon was excellent, but there are about 16 different meats to try..several more than once. It was quite fun to watch all the waiters racing around the tables serving the meat. It seemed like there were several near accidents. While we were extremely full we did try the Carmelized pineapple which was excellent. Pace yourself! We will certainly be back again

“For Food, Not Conversation”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

Our dinner here was part business, part social and I'm not sure this was the best choice. The food was fabulous, but the environment was too busy for conversation. It is very expensive if you don't take the time to try all the cuts of meat. The salad bar was extremely fresh and the choices were varied - not a typical salad bar. The price, of course, did not include beverages, and did not include dessert or shrimp cocktails that were promoted early in the meal.
