“Winery in an unlikely place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2008

The J Lohr winery is located not far from downtown San Jose and most people probably aren't even aware the tasting room is there. It is well worth finding. They have a large number of wines, whites and reds, produced under a couple of different labels. The tasting room staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. The wines are very reasonably priced and are a great value.

“Nice place for a wine tasting close to San Jose”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2005

J. Lohr Winery tasting room in San Jose is a great place to do some wine tasting. Its very close to downtown San Jose (just off the Alameda) so makes it possible to enjoy a little bit of the "wine country experience" when visiting the area. The winery started as an idea in the late 1960's and went into production in early 1970's. The small tasting room is nice to visit....
