“Wonderful sound systems and lighting for concerts”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

Having primarily attended sporting events there in the past, I was impressed with the sound system and lighting at a concert we attended there. Only downfall is it's so hard to get a cab after an event.

“Leonard Cohen concert”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

The sound was spectacular. Fairly small venue (compared to other arenas like the Duck Pond or Staples). Parking easy in/out right on the venue site.

“Who is running this place?”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Came to the Barbra Streisand concert and the venue was awful. The value for premium seats was awful. The chairs were uncomfortable and way too crowded on the floor. While I asked the usher for help with the people behind me who talked through the entire concert, spilled drinks and left me with a headache; they did nothing. I'd never pay this money again to see a concert here. While they told us to come early, they started 20 minute late. They said no photography or videos, and yet people were easily recording it with no repercussions.

“Hockey, concerts...”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

A large arena with a lot to offer. Ample parking for all events. Is known for the San Jose Sharks, but many singers come and do their concerts as well. Sit on the main floor for concerts as acoustics are better.

“Concert Time”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

Be careful when choosing this place as a venue for a concert. The center stage is at the "end of the arena" and so you will be turning your head and body in your seat if you are near the "50 yard line" area. The grandstand seating is a bit of a challenge to romp through if you are low and the stair cases turn to metal with grooves as they are added to the regular stadium seating. Floor seating has no elevation so people near the rear can not see well. Now, as a side note, this is a huge arena and if you are lucky enough to be sitting around people playing on their cell phones and talking because they are drunk or seem bored with the concert - well, don't go looking too far for assistance to have them quiet down. The concert was geared towards the 50+ crowd, music was not so great as this is, afterall, the Shark Tank and was not officially designed for music . . .Unfortunately for us, few folks were here --- oh my, no one to assist? It seems that unlike regular venues like the Marin Civic with helpful people standing around the edges of the seating, you are totally on your own to handle situations that may arise. (Cell phone falling under the "bleachers" created a whirlwind of commotion)...Not a fan of the venue for concerts. We've not been there for any other reason. We will not return.
