I only came here because it is a short distance from the Winchester Museum and I was dying for some Vietnamese food. However, it is expensive and not nearly as authentic as some other San Jose area Vietnamese places. They even charge you for crappy house Jasmine tea. The place just didn't have that typical family owned Vietnamese restaurant feel. This place must have been an old Diner; I thought I was eating at a Denny's. On a positive note, service was friendly (unlike other Asian owned restaurants).

I went there with a Vietnamese lady who knew what to order. Had one of their specialties which had shrimp wrapped around sugar cane, cellaphane noodles, lettuce. You put the items in a roll, similar to a burrito (kinda, sorta) and dip in peanut dipping sauce. The senses on your tongue! Crunchy, tasty, spicy, flavorful! Love it.

I remembered the food here to be better when was last here 'a few' years ago... Although in a bowl of pho (Vietnamese beef noodles in soup), the beef this time was dry to the taste and lacked the flavor I remembered from past... also felt that soup wasn't as good as before and had a parched mouth and throat about 15-20 minutes after my meal, which is usually a sign that there was too much MSG in the soup.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Jose. The food is consistently excellent. The service is fast. The owners are very helpful when someone is unfamiliar with Vietnamese food. There must be a reason that this restaurant has been voted the best Vietnamese restaurant in San Jose for eight years running in the Mercury News. And the best part, is that being situated across from Santana Row, you don't have to fight for parking. Do not mistake this restaurant for a Pho house, though their Pho is excellent. I go to very few restaurants more than once a month; this is one of them.

Food is ok but the service is nightmare, this is the third time I go to this restaurant because of the convenience. It always takes forever to order food and to get it. Never get the greeting from them.
