Staff were most accommodating when 10 of us walked in without a reservation. Bread and olives came quickly and were delicious. The specials were mentioned to us a couple of times although no price was given. It was most surprising to get a $31 bill for a fish lunch! Make sure you ask for prices if you are interested in a "special". It was good but way overpriced for lunch especially for out of towners who aren't rich! The service was okay but it was a bit slow. No refills of bread were given and we had to ask for more olives. Best to make reservations if possible!

“If you want to feel like you are in the Mediterranean”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2014

Authentic Greek food fixed to perfection. Anything on the menu is a winner. Good wine selection, good location in downtown San Jose. Easy to get to; parking close by. Public transportation goes right by the restaurant. This is my favorite restaurant so far in downtown San Jose.

“A piece of Greece in San Jose”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2014

This restaurant is one of the best Greek restaurant that I’ve visited so far. It is Awesome in almost all points of view.

Let’s start with the place, it is very well decorates, spacious and not noisy. It has a small outdoor seating area that I couldn’t try and also a good distribution in terms of bar vs dining room. The kitchen is open so you can see the action

The menu is very comprehensive and full of options to please almost all preferences. Portions are right and prices are okay

The service is good and fast since you arrive. The waitress are on top of you without be intrusive or annoying.

I decided to try several appetizers instead of a main course dish and I think I made the right choice because those were excellent!

I’ll recommend you to try the grilled octopus (served with arugula), the feta cheese with oil and olives and the mashed eggplant dip with Pita bread

When you arrive they also give you a combination of black/green olives macerated in olive oil and spices that are awesome and a small plate with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for your bread

I got surprised with the pita bread as it was a little bit thicker for what you use to get elsewhere but it was made in the grill so it tasted very good

I will recommend you to try it if you are in the area. I am counting the days for my next trip to San Jose to go there again and try other dishes

“Five star on all counts except accoustics”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2014 via mobile

Food was to die for...perfectly cooked and presented. Drinks were great. Appetizers alone were meal worthy. Service was prompt knowledgeable, and friendly. Live music was nice. Only drawback to this beautiful pkace is the accoustics...difficult to hear conversation becausenof echoey ceilings.

“Excellent appetizers, location and staff. Mains were very good.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2014 via mobile

The apps and bread were great, and our server was wonderful. I had the pastitsio and found it too hot, a bit flavorless, and with too much meat. The risotto and chicken mains were wonderful as were the salads and desserts.
