I have never seen a pour over coffee shop done so efficiently and maintain such good taste. The line was long but worth the wait and not as long as you would think. If you like coffee go here.

Tried the Mint Mojito Iced Coffee, one of their specialties, and loved it! Very refreshing on a hot day. Each coffee is brewed to order and customizable--can't get any fresher! Definitely worth the wait!

Philz Coffee takes coffee addiction to a whole new level. Having been a Starbucks drinker for years, I have never really ventured outside of the green lady world. On occasion, when Starbucks is somehow magically not located within a couple of blocks of me, I would have to result to coffee by other means. Then friends keep raving about Philz and how they never go anywhere else again, I had to try it. But the closest one is all the way in downtown where parking can be difficult, not to mention being right next to SJSU means it will be busy all the time. I had extra time 1 morning and the ordering process was different. And I get my Philtered Soul, and they told me to a sip to make sure I like it and BAM!. The smell hits my nose and it's exotic, and then BAM again, the taste is rich and creamy and smooth and melts on my tongue all the way down to my stomach. Although I get my coffee extra sweet, there's still a nice bitter finish. Wow...20 flavors or so....I've had 10 and it's unlike anything you have ever tasted. There is so much depth in flavor. I'm so glad it's so far away and inconvenient for me 'cause there goes my wallet....stronger than Starbucks, the darker roasts are just as strong as Peet's, but hands down this is the BEST COFFEE EVER.....unless you like the straight espresso and you're into flavors and depth...

I really wanted a Latte but couldn't get it here b/c they don't serve them. The coffee I did have, though, was quite good. I didn't need to get the mini-lecture from the barrista about what Philz is all about, though. I just wanted some coffee.
