“Best pizza in the South Bay”
Reviewed July 8, 2012

Tony and Alba's on Stevens Creek Blvd in San Jose is a great stop for either dine-in or take out. The crust really makes a difference on the pizza and the meatball sandwich really satisfies your hunger! A real insider treat is to order their Italian salad with the house dressing along with your pizza and dunk your crust in the leftover salad dressing. Delightful!
Whether your looking for a bite before hitting the Cinemark theaters or shopping at Valley Fair/Santana Row you cannot go wrong at Tony and Alba's.

“A Solid Thumbs Up for Tony & Alba's”
Reviewed November 19, 2011

I live nearby the Tony & Alba's San Jose location, so I have visited it often for many years now. The pizza is great and is distinguished by a flavorable, well made crust topped with an excellent sauce. I usually eat pasta though and the raviolis or any pasta with meat sauce is an authentic Italian treat. Meatballs are well made from pork and beef, and are of a rather dense and chewy nature. Great breads are served and the sandwiches are just terrific. I don't care much for their garlic bread - it's topped with lots of diced garlic and fresh tomatos which, after cooking, leave the bread a soggy mess - so avoid the garlic bread. But do check out the garden salad - it comes with plenty of stuff besides lettuce (olives, peppers, carrot slices, etc.) and is topped with an outstanding Italian dressing that is very spicy!! Overall, this neighborhood eatery consistently churns out quality Italian dishes, served by polite and efficient staff, at a moderate price. Thumbs up.

“Wow! Great pizza!”
Reviewed September 19, 2008

I stopped in here completely at random after driving for miles looking for a place to eat. Though it was perhaps pure starvation that provoked me to stop here, it turned out to be a pleasant bit of happenstance. If you can get beyond the "functional" appearance of the dining room (it is a pizza place, after all) this place has really awesome pizza. Most pizza pretty much tastes the same - yes there are some variances in crust and sauce but at Tony and Alba's the whole pie is different. The sauce was remarkably good and refreshing. The first bite was a blast to a whole different pizza experience - wow, what a great pie! The crust is also lighter than most pizza crusts. I was completely impressed and I wished I lived in the Bay Area just so I could get pies here regularly. In any case you will surely not be disappointed if you get a pizza here.
