It's in an office building, so you have to park in the garage under the building, but they will validate your parking. The ambience is nice, we went on a Thursday and it was pretty empty, but the food was amazing!. We ordered primi piatti, or first course dishes, which were pasta, and they were absolutely delicious! Don't be put off by their weird location.

Probably the worst dining experience I have ever had. Started when I ordered a very nice bottle of wine (the wine menu was quite specific). The bottle that was brought to the table was the low cost, high volume chardonnay while the menu specified the estate Arroyo Seco bottle. I sent it back unopened and asked for the bottle on the wine menu. Turned out the substitution was intentional. My advice is that if you order wine here make sure you know what you are ordering and check the bottle carefully when it comes. The guest at the table next to me complained to the waiter that his wine was terrible (to be fair, he also said the food was very nice). The waiter simply said "too bad". I rarely ever complain about a restaurant but this was over the top. I will never be back and advise all who may read this to stay away if you are looking for a nice - upscale restaurant. There are many outstanding dining choices in and around San Jose. Palo's is NOT one of them.

We held a corporate dinner for 70 people here and everything was outstanding. Unlike so many places, Paolo's allowed us to offer more than one choice for each course and managed to serve everyone with warmth and style. Our guests are still calling to say what a lovely experience it was. Our menu included the heirloom tomato buffata, a salad with quail, a choice of lamb, halibut or filet mignon and a canoli desert. The owners, Jalil and Carolyn (who is also the chef) were in attendance and took special care to make the experience just right. The location, near the convention center, was perfect and we had cocktails outside to begin with. I very strongly recommend this restaurant. It is not inexpensive, but you do get excellent value.

Pricey. Good for dinner dating, not for family dinner.
