“Willow Glen Christmas Trees in Yards”
Reviewed August 11, 2014

Our favorite time to visit Willow Glen is in December when many of the houses put out a Christmas tree with lights on their lawn. There are some houses that decorate more and are truly stellar; some less and that is ok too.

We also visit Willow Glen other times of the year mainly for dining.

Its a charming older neighborhood within San Jose.

“Nice atmosphere, great food”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

I grew up there, and it has changed so much. Good restaurants, unique shopping, great place to walk around and people watch. Love the new atmosphere, and still a little of the old. Get some raviolis at La Villa. They are the best in the country.

“Street Festival”
Reviewed June 29, 2014

Little did we know there was a street festival the Saturday night we ended up there but it didn't keep us from finding our restaurant and enjoying the festivities. It seemed like a nice neighborhood with lots of cute shops.

“Nice place to eat any time of the day”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

This area of San Jose has a pleasant little downtown street (Lincoln). You can walk along it and look in a few boutique type shops, and there are plenty of restaurants there. I'd suggest Mexican - Puerto Azul, Breakfast - Bill's is really popular and better than other Bill's locations Crepes - Crepevine is excellent. Ice Cream - Willow Glen Frozen Yogurt is very good. Pizza there is a Round Table, but you could also consider Bibo's New York Pizza for thin crust on Minnesota and Bird. Jacks is decent for kids as they have a good variety of food and sports. There are a many more types of restaurants in the area as well. The Willow Glen neighborhood also has some nice houses to look especially at Christmas time when nearly every house is decorated and has a tree out front. If I visited San Jose, I'd probably go around Downtown and maybe Santana Row, if you're in the area longer Willow Glen, Los Gatos, and Campbell all have small downtown strips you can wander through do light shopping and eat at.
