There is no wooden drawer to keep your clothes. The closet has a closet space shelf rack where you keep your clothes. The cooker in the Kitchen is from the 70's or earlier, refitted with electric burners. You can see the refit because it doesn't fit very well, you have to keep pushing it down to fit as you cook. The bathroom counters is from the 60's and the hand sink is together with the bath, which is unlike most modern hotels I have stayed in. The equipment in the gym has a TV for each threadmill or elliptical but it works sometimes. Okay I am not going to neat pick except I don't like old settings, its one of the things I don't like about the Marriott brand until I stayed at a Residence.

The bed is comfortable, the TV is nice, the stay was okay for business but I certainly would not bring my family here.

Whenever i make my trip to San Jose, this is one of the hotels that i try to always get. Location is great, rooms are nice and i always enjoy the convenience of the kitchen. Although i normally just use the kitchen for the fridge and microwave i have used the oven and stove a few times but i don't generally like using them because it's electric. The staff is always friendly and the beds are comfy. Also it is nice to have the free internet they provide in the rooms. Only thing's i would recommend is for them to have more dinnerware to use if you decide to cook and also to have a better stove and oven but other then that everything else is very satisfying to my needs.

The hotel is quiet and rooms do not face the main street. The kitchen is a nice touch and is stocked with just about anything you need for an average stay. The main Queen bed in our room was comfortable. but the sofa bed was not that comfortable and my granddaughters had to ask for extra bedding to soften the mattress. It was close to quite a few malls, restaurants and the Winchester House (which the kids wanted to see). The breakfast is very basic served from 7-9 serving only cereal. muffins, yogurt, and hardboiled eggs and food ran out quickly. Our room and the corridors were very clean. It does have a pool and hot tub (but the hot tub was closed during our stay). For this type of lodging it is very nice, It is perfect for business travelers.

The rooms are well appointed with a full functioning kitchen. Parking spaces are plentiful and convenient. The hotel has a very convenient breakfast setup. Either you have it right there or bring stuff to your room for a private breakfast. Free flowing coffee at the lobby and snacks are available 24/7. Overall a good hotel. I plan to stay here for a longer duration when I come back to San Jose.

IQuiet sort of place, parking directly outside. It's about 20 minutes from San Jose airport and maybe 45 to an hour from SFO and maybe 10 minutes drive from eateries in nearby Los Gatos. Warm welcome from the desk staff and complementary bottle of water and snack offered at reception. Free coffee in the lobby too. I really liked the room with its kind of mini-kitchen. I could imagine this being useful if you are staying a few nights and don't want to eat out all the time. The only criticism I would have was that the refrigerator was noisy, especially as it cut in and out - so loud that I am sure that it woke me briefly a couple of times during the night. Breakfast was free too - a buffet selection offered in the lobby area. Overall, I thought it represented good value.

I recently stayed here for a work trip. It was very clean, comfortable, and had everything you would need for a quick stay. The neighborhood is safe and the hotel is close to a nice selection of standard suburb amenities. Friendly check-in. Free wireless. Complimentary coffee/tea and snacks in the lobby all day. Full kitchen with pots/pans, dishes, appliances, utensils, etc. (see pics). If you like good coffee, bring your own, as the coffee provided is the basic bland hotel variety (see photo -- not a big deal and it's expected, but just an FYI). The coffee maker is the standard drip with a reusable basket (minor complaint -- the basket was a bit dingy looking and probably needed to be replaced), so you could buy your own regular ground coffee. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. I give this hotel 5 stars when comparing to other extended stay hotel chains, mainly because it was so clean (the kitchen wasn't updated with the latest finishes, but cleanliness is way more important to me than granite counter tops). Great room for a quick work trip.

Although TownePlace Suites are geared toward the business traveler, my husband and I found them suited for a couple. The hotel had an excellent 'take to your room or on-the-go" breakfast with cereal packets, yogurt, milk, fresh fruit and nutrition cereal bars.
The unit was a little more pricey than I'm used to, but the room was beautiful and fully equipped with a kitchenette and stocked with all the utensils a long-term person would need to cook for themselves including a full-sized refrigerator and dishwasher. The staff was very friendly. There was also a small exercise room with treadmills and free weights. It was a very pleasant place to stay and roomy enough for additional guests.
