“worth a walk about”
Reviewed May 9, 2014

This is a nice old fashioned gem in the bustleing "silicon valley" . Perfect for a family outting or picknic. unless you bring some food, this will only take about an hour to enjoy. April and May are great times to go. Don't rush, read the signs, learn a little bit about roses and the different kinds. You'll be inspired to do some planting of your own when you get home. You can rent it for a wedding, which would be wonderful.

“Beautiful Roses & setting”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

This rose garden is a must see. The setting is beautiful & peaceful. The roses are gorgeous! No dogs are allowed inside but you can walk your dog around the outside where roses are climbing on the rought iron fence. This is a gem of a park in San Jose.

“Beautiful garden”
Reviewed April 14, 2014

The Rose Garden is beautiful when the roses are in full bloom from April to October. It's easy to find and the parking are on the street, plentiful around the garden. There is no entrance fee. People have picnic there, take wedding pictures and prom pictures. You can even have your wedding ceremony there, very romantic.

The fragrant of roses is in the air when you walk through the garden. Roses bushes are in all rainbow colors, tall and short, many varieties. It's heaven. if you like roses or flowers, you got to go there. If you're allergic to pollen, feel bad for you, you may want to stay away because there are many many roses.

“Our great neigborhood”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

We live in the rose garden & we have a chance to pass by & visit it regularly. Its the size of a city block & you often will see people running around the rose garden or walking their dogs around. Inside is a great park atmosphere that the community helps maintain. Come enjoy the beauty of the rose garden & enjoy a picnic with your friends & family

“A relaxing place for everyone”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

The garden is clean and well kept although I found some wilted rose bushes. We came here in the summer, and of course, the roses could not withstand the heat. Nevertheless, I found the place relaxing for a walk. The fountain in the center of the garden makes this place better to visit than the Heritage rose garden near the Guadalupe river.
There was no parking lots designated for visitors, but there were plenty of parking on the street. The garden wasn't too crowded during the weekend. I recommend to visit this garden if you stay in San Jose for a day and wonder where to go in town beside shopping at Westfield Valley Fair/ Santana Row.
