I got here early and a close parking spot, 7 bucks gets you a parking spot for the day. There are tons of vendors but some carry mostly the same kind of stuff. Some stalls had great stuff, others had garage sale items, willingness to haggle makes it fun, plus the token beer cart girl makes Americana living the best .....definitely a Spanish flair here and fresh produce make it a good time to waste a few hours on a Sunday :) Great place to take the small fry, tons of things for kids to be entertained.

The name, San Jose Flea Market, is misleading. I think of a flea market as a convenience for people who want to sell some belongings that they no longer need. At least when I visited, however, regular commercial vendors who clearly operated on a permanent basis were selling their merchandise. And, contrary to some reviews here, there was very little foot traffic when I visited on a Saturday between Christmas and New Year’s. The parking lot, for example, was only about a quarter full when I left around 11:00 a.m.

Regardless, the experience was quite worthwhile if only as a cultural experience. As other reviewers have noted, the Flea Market has a definite Latino flavor in terms of the vendors and the merchandise on sale. Colorful blankets and piñatas were on sale, as were tropical fruit drinks. The Flea Market is definitely a worthwhile visit both for the opportunity to check out the merchandise, with the possibility of an interesting purchase, and to soak up the colorful atmosphere for just the seven dollar parking fee.

Been here twice. First time was during the week but not many vendors were there. We came on a Saturday and it was a better experience.there are maps to show you where there are restrooms and all vendors. Great farmers market, Mexican kitchenware, clothes & artistry, Indian vendors w/ beautiful fabrics, rugs, electronics . There is food and beer and cool things for kids to be entertained. The weekend is known for having live music. Ready to go back! If you like flea markets you will love. Lots of people attend so it gets dirty but nothing I haven't seen b4 after a crowd. I got the prices down on most of my purchases.

Location is easy to find with a GPS. Parking is very well organized and plentiful. There is a parking fee. Be prepared for lots of walking in the sun. Vendor options are very diverse. Produce, fresh goods, retail goods, electronics, furniture, clothes, toys, linens, shoes, - just like being at a huge department store with hundreds of stalls. The vendors sections include a section for food items, then there's the new products section and then finally a swap meet section (used goods). Some of the vendors allow you to barter for your purchase. There are also sections that offer food - somewhat like a fast food diner with table and chairs outside. After lots of walking you can eat, have a cool drink and people watch. Restrooms are kept clean. Suggestions for a pleasant experience is 1) remember where you parked your car 2) put sunscreen and wear a hat for shade 3) if you plan to buy heavy or multiple items bring a rolling cart or big carrying bag 4) wear comfortable shoes Finally, one of the best part of this experience is that the vendors do not harass you to make a purchase.

When I am in and around San Jose I like to visit the Flea Market - in truth I seldom buy anything, but just love to walk around. It is vast - with literally thousands of stalls - when you enter the market you are in Latin America and thats a wonderful thing. Great food, amazing stalls - the pinate shops alone will stop you in your tracks - easily spend a good few hours here..
