It's worth the time to go to the museum. The grandkids around grade 2 to 4 or 5 seemed to find it particularly interesting.

Never had a problem finding parking in the area but haven't been there recently.

The whole family liked this museum. If you have non-english speaking/reading kids they might wear you out while translating. But there is some really cool stuff.

This museum was just 5 minutes from our hotel (Arena hotel) and about 15-20 minutes from the Winchester Mystery House. Both are worth visiting and can be done on the same day. Be aware that this museum is closing at 17:00 so plan accordingly if you want to see both in one day.

We spend about 2 hours in the museum but if you read all information you can spend much longer.
The outside and garden of the museum is also very nicely set up. Worth taking a look at and maybe take some pictures.

There is free parking behind the museum. If you pass the museum on our righthand side turn right at the next street and then right again. You will have parking space on the left and right side.

I'm not much on visiting tombs so was a little chilled but this was a pretty good collection of Egyptian artifacts. Wouldn't think to find this in San Jose. The exhibits were done like you could be in a pyramid. Not for little kids.
