“Always a good meal at Scott's”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

They always have great fish dishes at Scott's! I've hosted many clients meetings there and they've never let me down. I only wish they had Chilean Sea Bass, however, not sure that PC in CA.

“Another Takeover of a Once Great Restaurant.”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

Scotts has historically been a very good seafood restaurant. However, like Claim Jumper, Horato's ,Kinkad's McCormick & Schmits, Chart House, etc., they have been taken over by Restaurants Unlimated, an organization that in my opinion has ruined every restaurant it has acquired, in the interest of profit. I have always felt that Fish Market was a better seafood restaurant than Scotts. I suspect that since the takeover, that gap has widened.

“Good place for lunch”

Had an excellent clam chowder followed by blackened red snapper - very tasty food and good service at a very reasonable price in a good setting.

“90's decor, ok food”
Reviewed October 17, 2012 via mobile

The skinny:

Parking: pay garage
Decor: stuck in the 90's
Service: friendly
Soda: coke products
Food: so so

I went to Scott's seafood in Irvine years ago and remember it being elegant and delightful. This restaurant is definitely not the same. We should have opted for the outdoor patio, the inside dining room was depressing. The planes come in on their flight path directly at the building so that is kind of neat to see.
Our waiter was friendly and the bread was excellent. My clam chowder was just so so and the seafood salad was old school. Not much in the way of seasoning in that salad or my risotto. The grilled shrimp on my risotto was great despite the blandness of the pasta.
The portions are generous but overall flavor was missing.
