I like to think of myself as a pretty well seasoned traveler. Being an ARMY vet, I have slept in some pretty sub-optimal locations, to say the least. With that said, THIS hotel was my worst sleeping experience I've ever paid for (and this wasn't a cheap stay).
The Good: The location is beautiful, so that's why I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1. The pool is unwelcoming.
The Bad: Arriving to a somewhat clean hotel room (tub had so much hair in it, end even the fridge had hair in it), we left to eat. The restaurant and bar closed before the stated hours so we should have stayed off site.
The UGLY: It's an event location, and the event bartenders seemed to have over served everyone the night I stayed, because as the party in the courtyard went on the conversational voices raised to drunk yells, and this persisted until almost 2am. The management did try to move me to another, dirtier room away from the party - without a working air-condition and a heavy mildew smell. After several calls to the front desk (11pm, 12am and 1am) I finally had to resort to taking it upon myself to ask the drunken guest to pipe down a bit. Coming from the East Coast with a big event the following day was a bad decision as the noise went on until 2am (5am EST) and sunrise came sooner than I needed.
I would never stay here or ever recommend it to a friend or foe.
