Hot days aren’t a problem when you’ve got the Discovery Museum to visit. You can visit outdoor garden and clibing structures, and when you are hot take them inside for water play. Puppet show, story time, dress up, pizza kitchen...to say nothing of the ambulance and firetruck and the science displays. Makes for a great day of interaction and fun.

My son went to the discovery museum yesterday as we were visiting family here in San Jose. My son is 7 and we felt the things were good but he was a bit too old for most of the activities. This place is nice but more catered to 3 to 5 years.

My two boys spent the day exploring all the exhibits . . . especially cute as they donned the fire costumes and explored the fire truck! Just like in the photo. This place is a wonderland for small children.

Took my 2.5 year old granddaughter to the museum on a Friday morning. Arrived promptly when it opened at 10 and lasted about 2.5 hours (she needed a nap). This place was awesome for her. She loved all the hands on things to do - especially the water fun for 4 and under. There was a room upstairs especially designed for younger children (4 and under). Yes, as the day progressed, it did get more crowded, and there were a few field trip kids present, but it was all very workable. If you have small children, the Children’s Discovery Museum should not be missed.

The museum is great for a rainy day activity with young children. I took an 11-year-old girl and I felt things were too young for her age group. Activities like playing with clay were of interest, but overall I felt this museum fell short on expectation. It’s definitely designed for young kids and toddlers. Big space but I had limited activities. Food court serves food cafeteria style.
Street and paid parking lot available. $15 each admission.
