Disappointing for two educated adults. Children 8 years old through teens with inquisitive minds will learn a lot in areas of space and medicine, projects and inventions in third world countries, solving real life problems.
The gift shop is very large with child oriented projects of all kinds.
The IMAX theatre is attached. We saw "our beautiful planet" for an additional $8 fee on our $19 senior fee.
The IMAX can be accessed without the museum visit.

We always enjoy at rip to the tech museum. It s very close by for us and offers a lot of interesting things to do and to look at and so are the IMAX movie theater we visit like 8-10 times a year.

This is by far my favorite museum. There are all sorts of hands-on technology exhibits good for kids and adults alike. The Hackworth Dome is also one of the best IMax theaters I have ever been in. They occasionally show new theatrical releases which can be a bit much on your eyes, but it sure is a lot of fun.
