“Good for the Area”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2013

The food is good-not great. This is probably the best Asian food you'll get in San Dimas, for whatever that is worth. The servers are friendly and occasionally dole out a free treat. The portions are big. It's just the meat quality isn't great, and so even though they do everything else well, there's nothing they can do when the focal point of the dish is less than delicious. This is a big problem in San Dimas-poor meat quality-and until this place serves me inedible meat, I'll keep going back.

“Excellent in any location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

The Phoenix Garden chinese restaurant has been putting out excellent food for years, first in La Verne and now in a glossy, more spacious setting. It is tucked in an isolated corner of a rambling strip mall just off Arrow Hwy but the semi-hard-to-find venue is the only complaint. I am hooked on their Lemon Chicken, BBQ Pork and Hot & Sour Soup. My wife loves their Shanghai (meatless) egg rolls and we both admire their lightly-breaded plump fried shrimp. Actually everything I have tried their tastes fresh and flavorful. I have yet to find better oriental food, service or decor in Southern California.

“The Hidden Gem of the Inland Empire!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2012

This restaurant is hidden in an area surrounded by small shops and businesses nestled in a medium sized outdoor mall area. Make a wrong turn and you'll practically miss it. The cooks and servers are all Asian, which in this area is a good thing. I'm just surprised that there aren't more lunch customer here. I've been here for lunch several times and there's not much of a crowd. A tip is to go with lots of friends so you can order and share your dishes family style.

The food is very authentic chinese and delicious!
