It is so rare these days to find a little family-run Italian place that does everything right. I grew up in New Jersey and took them for granted but they are a dying breed in California.

Did they blast the obnoxious rock music? No. We got what was called for--some nice old world Italian melodies, and we could actually hear each other talk! Was the food good? You bet. Was the price fair? You better believe it. Was the service attentive and timely? Yes and yes.

What a pleasant break this is from the corporate-run places that dominate the restaurant landscape. Bring your appetite and have a ball.

We had dinner here with a family member who had a long layover at SFO. We arrived at 5:00. We told the waiter we wanted to have some wine and time to talk before ordering. No problem. He brought some bread, no butter, but there is olive oil and balsamic on the table. I have to say the house white zin was awful. Way too sweet.
After a leisurely amount of time, we ordered 2 pasta dishes and the chicken parmegiana. All the dishes were good. The waiter was attentive, and we felt no pressure to eat quickly. We had excellent capuccinos for desert. The tiramisu was good but not outstanding. It was really nice to be able to dine at a locally owned restaurant, and get our intrepid traveller back to SFO with time to spare.

Don't let the name fool you - this is one of the best italian restaurants you will ever visit! I am working in the area for several months and have eaten here twice a week for a month so far. Every meal is amazing. The veal is so tender you need no knife. The beef tortellini special is just that VERY special. Then there are the desserts: last night I had The Cube. A layered small cube of white and chocolate mouse in a chocolate shell with a very delicious cream on the plate. It makes it very hard to decide on an entree or dessert so I just keep trying something new each time and have never been dissappointed.

We had our dept holiday party at this restaurant last night. The food was great, service outstanding. Our thanks to Jordan, our waiter who very patiently took our orders amidst our wild hilarity! We were a party of 20 and were given a private room at the back of the restaurant, very cozy. The food was excellent, very well prepared and presented. I am surprised at a previous reviewer who said the prices are high, I thought it was very reasonable for the quality that was served. Even though the name suggests casual dining, I think the food that was served puts it on par to any fine dining restaurant in the area. And there is plentiful parking at the rear of the restaurant!
