Had not been here in a while, but thought we'd try it for lunch today. It was not too crowded as we arrived past the lunch hour. We were seated quickly but things were not as smooth as they could be. For the small amount of customers, I would have expected a little faster service with drinks, taking our order, etc. The seater and server were very nice and attentive, but there was something creating a lack of ... promptness. Not unbearably slow, just to the point where we would look around to see where the help went.

We both ordered clam chowder and shrimp tacos. Chowder arrived, it was pretty good but I was disappointed to get saltine crackers and not chowder crackers. The food took a while to arrive, again, even though the restaurant was not that busy. The food was OK, what I'd expect from a chain seafood restaurant.

Service was friendly, but food was slow in coming. Other than that, a pretty typical experience for this restaurant from my experience.

We had been to the Red Lobster at San Bruno, California on a week day for lunch with family. The place was almost empty and we were taken good care of. The food is alright but not great as we expected after seeing the ads on TVs. Good seafood menu selection. The free cheddar biscuits that they give are really awesome and almost filling. The drinks tasted good but too pricy. We ordered endless shrimp and were very much disappointed as the teriyaki shrimp was too bland and the rice pilaff is horrible. The baked potato served with endless shrimp was somewhat OK but too high in calories (served with lot of cream). The biscuits and coconut shrimp are the only items on their menu we enjoyed. The salads are not fresh and too soggy. Could not eat even a small bowl due to their texture. Looks like they remained in fridge for several days. Good decor and comfortable seating, but the service is too slow. We heard kitchen staff talking and laughing loudly. All the items in the menu are expensive and not worth. We left disappointed and will not be returning for sure.
