Headed to my room after less than a 15 minute taxi from the SB Amtrak/metrolink station. After a quick check in, I opened my room to discover someone was already staying in it. Front desk clerk apologized and gave a room upgrade. She said housekeeping had cleared the room. ( this is why I always keep my door locked from the inside!) The new room was about 25% larger than the standard room. It had 2 flat screen TV's. The TV in the bedroom didn't have good reception. Bathroom was clean with a tub/shower combo and basic amenities. Bed was comfortable with clean linens. There was a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. The sitting area had a pull-out sofa bed. There was not a door separating the areas. 4 people could stay easily if privacy wasn't a problem. Breakfast included a waffle maker, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, cereal, breads, fruit, oj, coffee. Quality was fine. Tables were clean and kept cleared. Several restaurants and Cost-co were close to walk to. Perfect place to stay if you are just passing through the area and want a clean, newer property.

We have visited this place three times in the past four years. Every time, we notice the staff is VERY welcoming and the rooms are clean. We cannot find anything to complain about. We will always return to this spot.

Nothing fancy but a solid choice for a stay in the San Bernardino or general Inland Empire area, with very close and easy access to the 10 freeway. Have stayed there many times now over the last few years and the staff is consistently friendly, even more so than the average Marriott-branded property. Rooms are OK and in good shape though could be a bit bigger, with well-lit parking. Well maintained. Some restaurants nearby but not a lot of choices. Pool is inside.

We came there over Thanksgiving weekend, because we wanted to visit Oak Glen Rilley's farm, which is 30 mins from it (near Yucaipa), and Riverside Lights Festival, which is 15 mins from it. Hotel is new and clean. Staff was polite. Our room (king suite) was very small though, but for 2 of us it was OK. Suite doesn't have a separate door to the bedroom, but has 2 TVs - in the living room area and in the bedroom, a couch (sofa sleeper) and a table with a chair. Microwave and little fridge as well. We also picked this hotel because of the indoor swimming pool, it's some entertainment for a young child. The pool was very very small though, I even didn't try it because I couldn't even swim in there. It's probably 4 feet x 4 feet, or something like that, but my 6 y.o loved it, and jumped, and snorkled, and splashed. Breakfast is very limited, but at least they have oatmeal for those who doesn't want to munch 1000 calories muffings and donuts. They also had prepacked breakfast burritoes (like from the gas station) that need to be micowaved, yogurt, milk, 4 types of cereal and 2 waffle makers, where you cook waffles yourself. Bananas, apples, coffee, tea, orange and apple juice. I still think $100 per night for this is very pricy. We stayed at Hilton suites in Orange, CA, in twice as big corner suite with full breakfast included and much bigger indoor pool, and paid around $70 per night. But hotel is kinda in the middle of nowhere, even though they have lots of decent restaurants near by - Black Angus, Red Lobster, Elephant Bar and Strauss Brewery. And yes, it was very quiet (no noise from the hallway or from the freeway) and clean. Bed was very comfortable. One more minus though - they don't have body lotion in the bathroom. Hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, that's it. And I forgot body lotion at home, what a bummer, weather was so dry!

I became alarmed when hearing a drilling noise by the adjoining door. I contacted the front desk who was not aware of any maintenance. She checked into it and found that a hotel worker was working on the lock of the adjoining door on the other side of mine. On the same day, at about 3:30 in the afternoon I heard my door open--I had the safety chain on and thus prevented the person from walking in. I went out into the hall and a housekeeping supervisor informed me she was doing a check on checked out rooms. She did not knock, she ignored the Privacy Notice on the door, she did not check at the front desk to see that I had extended my stay 5 hours earlier. Her attitude was defensive. l never stay there again.

Friendly staff, ended up requesting a larger room (the room we were in was too small for 3 adults - when the sofa bed was out you couldn't walk past). They offered a disabled room that was abit bigger but we ended up paying for the upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite for an extra $30 a night. Room was clean and comfortable, complimentary breakfast was good although we found it strange they had no bread to make toast (only bagels and english muffins). Good location for San Bernardino - near freeway - which we were suprised we didn't get any traffic noise in the room.

TIP: Walk over and eat at the Elephant Bar - nice food.
