“You and the rest of the world”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2012

The mountains attract much of So Cal on the weekends. Be ready for traffic and parking problems. During the summer it can get really hot and the view may be smog. If you can find the small canyons and a parking spot then you may be free to hang out for lunch with a few dozen people while you eat! lol

“Get away during the Winter”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2012

Escape from the traffic. From the Inland Empire it takes about an hour to get away from it all in the forest. There are plenty of mom and pop places to eat. Do something different this weekend!

“Love the outdoors - this is it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2012

Hiking, camping, all things beautiful. Each season has its own special view of nature. If it's your first trip, check onlne or with a ranger station for the hiking trails which best suit your family. What's so great is this area is within a few hours (or less) drive. Bring water if you hike, there is little or no potable water on most trails. The higher you go the more you can see - yes, on some trails there is a view of the ocean or the desert.

“Great Family Memories!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2012

We went to California to visit family who live in San Bernardino at the foot of the mountains. We took a full day and drove up the mountain stopping at many of the turn outs to soak up the views all the way up. We stopped at the Sequoia Arboretum and took the small trail to get a bit closer to nature and it was great! We then continued on to Lake Arrowhead for some shopping and lunch then continued up the mountain to Big Bear Lake. It was a fun and beautiful trip!
