When staying nearby at the La Qunita Inn, I usually eat here at least once during my stay. Always good to have their chips and salsa, a Patron Margarita, followed by a meal conssiting of their chicken and sour cream enchiladas. I highly recommend eating here.

Go ahead, go to an "authentic" Mexican restaurant - you'll sometimes get "authentic" Mexican "Montezuma's Revenge."
El Torito is at least consistent. It's not what it used to be (if ever anything is). Their menu used to change almost monthly as "Chef Pepe" (supposedly) visited different parts of Mexico and came back with various and varied creations and concoctions. Don't know the truth about that, but the menu was more varied in the past.
Still, the food is tasty, quality for the most part, not overly greasy. Taco Tuesdays (dollar "street" tacos - soft shell, corn or wheat flour - build your own) - good food, you'll have to scope out the place - whatever location you choose - to find a seat. That should tell you something - when you have to ask to borrow a chair from tables with 3 people and a fourth chair to pull them to an empty table with no chairs.
We go to other locations - not just the Hospitality Lane one (La Sierra, Riverside Plaza)- and it pays to sit at the bar and talk to the bartenders if you want a good mix and a good pour. We've had a couple of times when drinks weren't what was ordered, that the bartenders gave them to us "comp."
IF you're from out of town, out of state, and have never had "Mexican" food, this is a good choice. It's kind of what P.F. Chang's Chinese Bistro is to Chinese food. It's American/Mexican fusion - which is good. We've never ordered anything that I can remember that we didn't like. We've been there... maybe through the years over a hundred times (at the three locations mentioned). Geeze, time do fly!

We came here for dinner as it's just located right opposite our hotel. The atmosphere of this restaurant makes you feel like you are in Mexico. Staffs were very friendly and food were good. I love their Salsa, very fresh and I can say that it's the best Salsa I have ever had so far.

The food here was very mediocre and overpriced. Would not recommend to anyone. Find something local instead and you'll be much happier.
