I was really disappointed in the wine... None of it was acceptable! The folks working the tasting room were not professional. Now I know why they have a brewery next door!

Napa has a sometimes-deserved reputation for being over-priced and unkind to the 99%. Freemark's staff are not snooty but their prices are out of line for the quality of the offerings. If you must stop here, pay for the tasting experience but you will find better wines less expensive elsewhere.

We have a family member who is a wine club member, so we arranged a private tasting ahead of time in the lovely tasting room. We were treated so well by the friendly staff and overall just had a great visit. The staff paired our wines with several small plates of cheeses, olives and cured meats, and paced it slowly so we could absorb every moment.

The grounds are simply beautiful too, and the tasting room is warm and inviting. Simply stated, it's one of the more pleasant, low key vineyards in the valley.

Also, the wines are quite good too. That's how we found this place by buying some of their selections here in Georgia.

Very much enjoyed our tasting today at Freemark Abbey. Our tasting hostess was so friendly and very knowledgeable. We went there primarily because it is a very short walk from our lodging, the lovely Wine Country Inn, as well as because we knew of its reputation from the great read by George Tabor, The Judgement of Paris. It's wines have great history. Tried both reds and whites. Our favorite was a Viognier and we also tried an excellent white dessert wine. A worthy stop when passing through Saint Helena.

I recently visited Freemark Abbey with girlfriends. We were treated wonderfully by Lauri and the other tasting room people! While we were given a tour of the grounds, we listened to interesting tidbits of information regarding the winery's history. As a local, I was grateful to learn more about this winery. The grounds are gorgeous and inviting, allowing for both shaded and sunny areas. The tasting room staff was so warm and cordial; it simply couldn't have been a better experience!
