We got lucky getting a recommendation from a saleslady in town to try Cindy's for lunch not knowing about her huge following among locals and visitors to Napa Valley. Flowers greet you as you enter the bar on the way to a delightfully appointed dining room. The menu includes some very creative renditions on standard classics such as a No Crybaby Grilled Cheese with polenta fries. And, if one measures a fine restaurant by the quality of the bread, Cindy's grabs 5 stars. The bread, baked in San Francisco especially for the restaurant, is outstanding. Our server was terrific and made each dish on the menu sound spectacular. Cindy, who also founded Mustards Restaurant, seems to have the formula down pat. We visited mid week in off season and the restaurant was nearly full. Heard that reservations are a MUST in season and on weekends.
