If you're looking for something a bit out of the ordinary (at least in the Napa Valley) you have found the right restaurant! Tucked into a string of other downtown establishments on Rt. 29, this St Helena gem is well worth seeking out. The Napali/Indian food is infused with fragrant spices of the region and served by a delightful waitstaff. Beginning with our appetizers of delicate dumplings, fresh green salads and naan, to the entrees of lamb & chicken curry (served to your specified degree of heat),and chicken tandoori, the food was truly delicious!

When the server realized that one of our entrees was taking a bit longer to prepare, she apologized and brought us a special dessert to complete our meal. Though this was not necessary, it certainly was appreciated, and capped an already very satisfying dining experience.
Great value here especially when the corkage is waived!! We will certainly return!!

The food here is truly excellent. I don't think there is one bad plate on the menu.

However, service was slow and rather than try doing something about it, the waiter spent most his time apologizing about the fact it was slow.

Another UNFORGIVABLE mislapse was with the wine - and I find that inexcusable due to the fact that St. Helena is in the heart of wine country - our waiter simply opened the bottle, didn't offer anyone in the table to try it and then did the best he could to empty it out in our four glasses in one go. He even apologized that he didn't manage to serve it all.

Oh, and he also ran off with the cork....

....that's a no no......

My wife and I have been to restaurants before that have served dishes similar to The offerings here, but our lunch here on Mother's Day was an over-the-top delightful gastronomic experience.

We do not eat a lot as we are older and consume fewer calories these days, but we wanted to get a "feel" for this place, so we ordered their Himalayan Salad and their Tandoori Mixed Grill and we were so pleased we decided to give this restaurant a try. The salad had a delightfully sweet tang to it and the subtleties of the chicken, beef and salmon served on a sizzling iron palter made the visual presentation just as wonderful. After all, we eat a meal with our eyes first.

We sat at an outdoor table and enjoyed watching the people parade go by on Main Street. The service was friendly, attentive and good. We will definitely be ging back here and soon.
