We spent a few days in San Francisco and had been hearing that we had to try a burger from Gott's. We weren't able to get to it while in town, but once we got to Napa and passed this location we decided we had to give it a whirl for lunch. I am sooo glad we stopped because it was by far the best burger we have ever had (and I have had many burgers in my day, including ones from the famous Michael Symon at B Spot in the Cleveland area). We both ordered the bacon cheeseburger and when the food came up I could not believe how big the burger was! It was a 1/2 lb. patty with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, tomato and pickles and their special sauce (which tasted a bit similar to the McDonald's Big Mac sauce only better). We also did an order of the fries and the veggie sticks (carrots and cucumbers with a side of their homemade buttermilk ranch). Everything we ordered was great and I could not believe we were eating at a little picnic table by the side of the road. Luckily when we visited they weren't very busy so we stood in line for 5 minutes and then waited maybe another 10 minutes for the food to come up. The staff taking the orders were very friendly and seemed to be moving people through the line quickly. If you are a burger fan, this is a must-visit when in the area. I thought about that burger for the next several days and wished I could go back for another one. They also had some other interesting items on the menu such as Ahi Tacos, so it seems there would be something for everyone here. The only downside to Gott's are the prices - for the two burgers, a side of fries, veggie sticks and one soft drink it was $34, however if you want a great burger this is the place to go!
