A charming hostess at an earlier wine tasting recommended Goose and Gander for the burger with marrow. We are confirmed carnivores, so we headed to St Helena straight away. We ate outside on a beautiful summer afternoon. As promised, the grass-fed burger, frites, and the charcuterie plate that we discovered were all delicious. A glass of local rose sealed the deal. Our server was great: personable, knowledgeable, and attentive in just the right proportion.
