“Wonderful food, warm and homey ambiance”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

We're been to Goose the Gander three times in the past couple months. All of our meals were exc4rrrrrrrrrrrellent. I've enjoyed the salmon salad, and the warm salmon entree. My husband had the rosemary chicken on greens and commented that it was the best chicken he had even eaten. The burger never fails to delight our guests, and the duck fries are a perfect compliment. The wait staff are efficient and friendly. What a lovely setting on a winter's day.

“Great for Cocktails”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

The bar of this establishment is just the spot on a chilly evening to tuck in by the fire. There is a large wine selection but the cocktails are truly worth mentioning. If the devil's in the details they've got it licked from outrageously large hand chiseled ice cubes to pickled fruit, house-made shrub and even stencil toppers. Have the sloe gin fizz -- it's the best I've ever tasted.

“Great bar”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

This is the old Martini House and their bar downstairs is now the mixology capital of the valley! The food was all delicious, and I can't believe I ordered a burger, but WHAT a burger it was. Cooked to perfection, juicy, and the duckfat fries were to die for.

“To Die For”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

Not just the best meal we had in Napa, but one of the best meals I've EVER had. Service was superb and the inspired cuisine was even better. If you drink cocktails, make sure you order at least one here. Very memorable evening and the culinary highlight of our trip. When we visit Napa again, this place will be at the top of our "must hit list".

“A fine feathered friend”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

What a treat to find this place. Wonderful renditions of comfort food like tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches - better than Mom used to make. The atmosphere was comfortable and charming - Upstairs a touch of the British Isles, cozy bar downstars and the outdoors for people who want fresh air. They do some wonderful hand crafted drinks. But we judged many places by how they present a simple green salad. This one was perfect. Just enough dressing - light - fresh ingredients and with a lovely presentation. Top flight crew in front and back of the house.
