“Good Wine; Pricey Tasting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2011

Flora Springs wine is very good as was the tasting experience. However, while most wineries will comp the tasting with a wine purchase, Flora Springs would only do so with the purchase of a $1,000 wine club membership. They should nickel and dime their customers and throw in the tasting with a purchase of wine.

“Not so thrilled”

This winery was nice, but their wines were not really anything to talk about. We left a bit disappointed.

“Jason rocks!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2011

We tried to make an appointment ahead of time, and never heard back. We showed up, and they fit us in no problem. The private scheduled tour was way better than the storefront option on 29. Lots of different options for tasting, and the walk through the "cave" with the barrel tasting with a full glass made the trip even more enjoyable. Chocolate, cheese and exquisite higher quality wines finished out the whole visit. Jason was super knowledgeable and aware of all the nuances for each type of wine, foods to pair it with, and places people to share it with. Great stop, our favorite of the whole trip!

“What a great experience.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2011

Flora Springs Estate is a wonderful stop in Napa Valley. They have a tasting room right on Route 29. Or you can turn up Zinfandel Lane to visit the Estate for the full tour experience. Their tour consists of tasting along with small bites like cheese, crackers, and nuts in the beautiful tasting room, with a Thomas Arvid original painting, or outside at a table that overlooks the mid-valley region. Then proceed around the grounds and end up in the caves for a barrel tasting. Picnic grounds and bocce courts dot the area so you can relax later with a glass or bottle that you will ultimately want to purchase. Their wines are great; the Wild Boar was one of our favorites of the week, but even their whites are superior. Ask for Jason as your guide. He's knowledgeable, personable, and easy-going. You won't be sorry.
