Spanish Villa was delightful. Phil, the innkeeper was great, tipped us off to the Bocce court, which was a lot of fun, and Phil dog Casper was a big sweetie. We'd certainly go again, and would recommend it to friends.

We stayed at the Inn the Sunday/Monday after Thanksgiving and since it was just after the holidays, we were the only guests and had the whole villa to ourselves. Phil was very cordial and gave us tips and recommendations on wineries to visit, places to eat, things to do etc. Roy, the owner was charming, friendly and regaled us with funny anecdotes and stories. Breakfast was simple but fresh and yummy (Granola, Fruit, Coffee, Bagels, eggs). We had a room in the front of the villa which was comfortable and cozy and had a nice view from the balcony. The bathroom for our room was just outside the room (not shared) and the rooms do not have TV. There is however common room with TV and a library on the main level.

We had an amazing stay. Booked last minute. The inn keeper was the most accommodating generous man. Phil drove us to and from dinner, making a great date night. The inn was very comfortable and relaxing. Situated just 5 minutes outside of St Helena, it was very convenient for both St Helena & Calistoga. I would recommend the Spanish Villa to anyone from business to couples get a way to family weekend away.

Room Tip: There are two sides of the inn so if you book with multiple other rooms you can essentially have you own house.

What a fantastic find, the Spanish Villa Inn is warm and welcoming.

The manager Phil couldn't do more for us, including driving us in and out of St Helena each evening for dinner. So don't let the out of town location put you off.

Rooms were good and spacious, we had a small private patio area with ours. Breakfast was great, with healthy choices and wonderful granola

Highly recommended

My husband and I came here for a long weekend in September and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we arrived Phil welcomed us with open arms, and ensured our accommodations were to our pleasing. He even gave us a free tasting pass to a nearby winery for us to try out. The place is very charming and romantic. It's on a quiet street about 5 minutes away from downtown St. Helena. The personal attention you receive here is something you can't get at a standard hotel, which is why it is so wonderful. Phil drove us to and from our dinner reservations on 3 consecutive nights which was amazing. They serve you homemade breakfast every morning that Roy's wife makes which is delicious! There is also fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juice, coffee, tea, bagels, and muffins. In addition you have a community kitchen, tv room, and huge backyard to share with the other guests. The yard has fruit trees growing in it Phil encourages you to feel free to pick the fruit and eat it. One morning I picked a fig and it was super sweet and delicious. We had a private patio outside of the room, which a table and chairs that was perfect to just relax in at any time. For the service you receive, I would highly recommend this place!
