We had lunch at Farmstead during our wine tour of Napa, and what a tasty treat it was! The place is very charming, with a comfortable country atmosphere. Smells abound and make you curious to try everything on the menu. There were two of us, and we split a couple dishes, which turned out to be the perfect amount of food to not fill us up too much - there was much more wine to be tasted after all!
The cheese biscuits are a must - they're chesse biscuits, why wouldn't you try them! :) We shared the arugula salad which was simple and delicious. Not too many complex flavors or overly ambitious - just a great, cool, crisp salad. Then we split the pulled pork sandwich, served with potato salad. Holy smokes! The sandwich was elegant and tasty, not relying heavily on bbq sauce for taste. The potato salad...oh, that potato salad was definitely something to write home about. Creamy, tangy and included bacon. Sign me up!! I could've had an entire plate of the potato salad alone.
Will definitely return to Farmstead.
