Description: Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch's restaurant showcases the seasonal, ingredient-driven American farmhouse cooking of executive chef Stephen Barber. LMR Grass-fed Beef CheeseburgerHoused in a former nursery barn, our 110-seat restaurant revolves around a central open kitchen with booth and central seating, community dining, and a full bar. We feature an authentic farm-to-table menu. The ingredients are foraged from local sources and feature Long Meadow Ranch's all natural grass-fed beef and lamb, organic and sustainably produced eggs, fruits, vegetables, extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, and honey. Possessing a substantial background in Southern cooking styles, Stephen emphasizes a wood-burning element for select dishes. Stephen's kitchen is also outfitted with a plancha, a cast-iron grill ideal for searing Long Meadow Ranch's healthy, tender, and flavorful grass-fed beef and lamb. Community tables at Farmstead restaurantFarmstead at Long Meadow Ranch's restaurant wine program features Long Meadow Ranch Winery's elegant and balanced wines, as well as other domestic and international wines selected by Chris Hall to complement the restaurant's American farmhouse cooking. LMR and Farmstead wines are also available to purchase to-go at the Logan-Ives House cellar door. There is no corkage fee at Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch. Instead, a $5-per-bottle fee is collected as a donation to a featured local community-building not-for-profit organization each month. We call this program Corkage for Community. Outdoor bar at Farmstead restaurantOutdoors in season, guests can enjoy a meal among the espalier apple trees, drinks at the bar, or relax with friends and family by the cozy wood-fired authentic forge. Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 6 PM we offer a Growers' Happy Hour with specially-priced cocktails, beer, and wine and a special bar menu. We also offer Weekly Traditions featuring special friendly, casual menus on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nghts and on Sunday for brunch. Live entertainment on Fridays. The regular menu is available everyday. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Walk-ins are welcome

Dined here for dinner after a perfect wine tasting day. Party of 3. Arrived earlier than our reservation time but were promptly seated indoors (our preference). We are all vegetarians, and the menu was full of choices of appetizers and entrees. As other have noted, the cheddar biscuits are worth a visit in themselves!! Our salads seemed literally just picked from the garden, heirloom tomatoes to die for, greens bursting with flavor. Entrees were superb, albeit in portions that for us were simply way too much. A single risotto serving could easily have fed 2 of us. As we had no ability to take leftovers, we had to leave large portions uneaten simply because the serving sizes were huge. That aside, the meal was superb. Small wine list, but eclectic, with several start up labels and smaller Napa houses, much to our delight. Highly recommended. Look forward to returning soon.

Three of us went for dinner and we all enjoyed our entrees. I found the pork chop very delicious! They have a fire pit, outdoor dining and the Napa wine Train passed just in front of the restaurant. Very enjoyable evening.

Stopped in for a late lunch and ended up eating so much that we pretty much skipped dinner. Hard to pick a favorite. The cheddar biscuits - awesome. We tried many items and all were superb. Grass fed beef chili, meatballs, and brick chicken all had fantastic fresh flavor - big thumbs up.

First, I live here in St. Helena and the blue chip dining options are numerous. That said, I do happy hour at Farmstead frequently and when you realize the culinary brilliance of the $5 bites, you know dining room platings are going to be a treat. Frequent wine country visitor friends in town so having given them great dining experiences in the past, the bar continues to be raised. Entree's at our table were the ever-popular trout, the sinful Gnocchi with Beef Ragu and the locally raised chicken from the owners neighboring Long Meadow Ranch. All meats and veggies are locally raised and grown. Our server is the best in the house. A sweet petite Asian gal named Katie who's top-shelf service was only surpassed by her lovely disposition and sinfully wicked sense of humor. They were out of two 'minor' items on our night of dining-a popular starter and a glass of Port to round out the night, but with such popularity, how can that not afflict such an often-sought after reservation occasionally?? Get in there!!
