Description: Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch's restaurant showcases the seasonal, ingredient-driven American farmhouse cooking of executive chef Stephen Barber. LMR Grass-fed Beef CheeseburgerHoused in a former nursery barn, our 110-seat restaurant revolves around a central open kitchen with booth and central seating, community dining, and a full bar. We feature an authentic farm-to-table menu. The ingredients are foraged from local sources and feature Long Meadow Ranch's all natural grass-fed beef and lamb, organic and sustainably produced eggs, fruits, vegetables, extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, and honey. Possessing a substantial background in Southern cooking styles, Stephen emphasizes a wood-burning element for select dishes. Stephen's kitchen is also outfitted with a plancha, a cast-iron grill ideal for searing Long Meadow Ranch's healthy, tender, and flavorful grass-fed beef and lamb. Community tables at Farmstead restaurantFarmstead at Long Meadow Ranch's restaurant wine program features Long Meadow Ranch Winery's elegant and balanced wines, as well as other domestic and international wines selected by Chris Hall to complement the restaurant's American farmhouse cooking. LMR and Farmstead wines are also available to purchase to-go at the Logan-Ives House cellar door. There is no corkage fee at Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch. Instead, a $5-per-bottle fee is collected as a donation to a featured local community-building not-for-profit organization each month. We call this program Corkage for Community. Outdoor bar at Farmstead restaurantOutdoors in season, guests can enjoy a meal among the espalier apple trees, drinks at the bar, or relax with friends and family by the cozy wood-fired authentic forge. Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 6 PM we offer a Growers' Happy Hour with specially-priced cocktails, beer, and wine and a special bar menu. We also offer Weekly Traditions featuring special friendly, casual menus on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nghts and on Sunday for brunch. Live entertainment on Fridays. The regular menu is available everyday. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Walk-ins are welcome

“best meal in napa”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

this place has a great aesthetic. They have a beef and vegetable farm along with a winery, all which are incorporated into their menu.
this was the BEST meal we had in napa, coupled with the best service. Everything we had was delicious, especially the beet salad--my husband doesn't even like beets and said it was the best thing he has ever eaten. The grilled artichokes, the wood fired broccoli and the fried potatoes were amazing. we also had the salmon dish which was great--especially the creamed corn and vegetables that came with it.
Overall I would highly recommend. We were very impressed with this super-local farm to table concept restaurant.

“Awesome foodie place in Napa”
Reviewed July 21, 2013 via mobile

Every once in a while a new Resturant pops pup which is new for us. Farmstead in Napa Valley is such a place. Being a creature of habit I usually go to the known places on trips. This time I thought I would venture to some new venues and boy am I glade I did. This place needs to be on your radar if your heading to Napa. Located south of St. Helena this place has it all tog together, the food, the service and the amosphere. You can taste the freshness. My wife started with salad and I had an artichoke. We split brick chicken which was moist and fresh. The other couple in our group had the ribs which they could it get enough of. The atmosphere was great, band playing on the outside bar area and lots of good times all around. Go to Farmestead you will not regret it.

“Great lunch, but...”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

Pros
Food was great, we had the pork chop and trout which were delicious and memorable

Cons
Waiter did not have a name tag or tell us his name, personality was neutral
Waited to have plates removed and to get bill, even though waiter walked past us several times
Wine is overpriced, $12 & $9 for a 4 oz., should be 6 oz pour
Tables for 2 are snug (we are not big people)
Value rated lower because of small 4 oz wine pour

Overall, great food dinning experience was "ok". Might try again if in the area. Would not make a special trip. For the price there are a lot of other options.
