Description: Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch's restaurant showcases the seasonal, ingredient-driven American farmhouse cooking of executive chef Stephen Barber. LMR Grass-fed Beef CheeseburgerHoused in a former nursery barn, our 110-seat restaurant revolves around a central open kitchen with booth and central seating, community dining, and a full bar. We feature an authentic farm-to-table menu. The ingredients are foraged from local sources and feature Long Meadow Ranch's all natural grass-fed beef and lamb, organic and sustainably produced eggs, fruits, vegetables, extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, and honey. Possessing a substantial background in Southern cooking styles, Stephen emphasizes a wood-burning element for select dishes. Stephen's kitchen is also outfitted with a plancha, a cast-iron grill ideal for searing Long Meadow Ranch's healthy, tender, and flavorful grass-fed beef and lamb. Community tables at Farmstead restaurantFarmstead at Long Meadow Ranch's restaurant wine program features Long Meadow Ranch Winery's elegant and balanced wines, as well as other domestic and international wines selected by Chris Hall to complement the restaurant's American farmhouse cooking. LMR and Farmstead wines are also available to purchase to-go at the Logan-Ives House cellar door. There is no corkage fee at Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch. Instead, a $5-per-bottle fee is collected as a donation to a featured local community-building not-for-profit organization each month. We call this program Corkage for Community. Outdoor bar at Farmstead restaurantOutdoors in season, guests can enjoy a meal among the espalier apple trees, drinks at the bar, or relax with friends and family by the cozy wood-fired authentic forge. Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 6 PM we offer a Growers' Happy Hour with specially-priced cocktails, beer, and wine and a special bar menu. We also offer Weekly Traditions featuring special friendly, casual menus on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nghts and on Sunday for brunch. Live entertainment on Fridays. The regular menu is available everyday. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Walk-ins are welcome

“Great lunch, but...”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

Food was great, we had the pork chop and trout which were delicious and memorable

Waiter did not have a name tag or tell us his name, personality was neutral
Waited to have plates removed and to get bill, even though waiter walked past us several times
Wine is overpriced, $12 & $9 for a 4 oz., should be 6 oz pour
Tables for 2 are snug (we are not big people)
Value rated lower because of small 4 oz wine pour

Overall, great food dinning experience was "ok". Might try again if in the area. Would not make a special trip. For the price there are a lot of other options.

“So good - went there twice in a week.”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

First night we went, the restaurant was booked up so we ate in the outside bar. Fun to watch the bartenders at work on the specialty drinks. Could have used a little more room at our table for our dinners, but it was nice sitting outside. A couple nights later, some friends from San Fran joined us there for dinner again. Farmstead has an arborio rice entree (with summer squash and corn and other veggies) that is just amazing! And a warm beet salad - also amazing. Nice selection of reasonable wines from local wineries. Husband had pork chops that he liked very much. Our waitress was terrific, attentive and patient with one of our very picky guests. She got a good tip for being such a good sport!! Dinners were in the $20-30 range for entrees and $10-15 for apps.

“Nice for lunch”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Stopped in for lunch after wine tasting and had a fairly good meal.
The portions are large and food was enjoyable.
Their cheddar biscuits are scrumptious!

A good place to go if you're with a large group. They can certainly handle the service!

“Bad Service”
Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

We tried to have dinner here, but were ignored by our waiter right after being seated, as a large group had just arrived and were obviously more important. After over twenty minutes and still not having our drink order taken, we left.
