Description: Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch's restaurant showcases the seasonal, ingredient-driven American farmhouse cooking of executive chef Stephen Barber. LMR Grass-fed Beef CheeseburgerHoused in a former nursery barn, our 110-seat restaurant revolves around a central open kitchen with booth and central seating, community dining, and a full bar. We feature an authentic farm-to-table menu. The ingredients are foraged from local sources and feature Long Meadow Ranch's all natural grass-fed beef and lamb, organic and sustainably produced eggs, fruits, vegetables, extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, and honey. Possessing a substantial background in Southern cooking styles, Stephen emphasizes a wood-burning element for select dishes. Stephen's kitchen is also outfitted with a plancha, a cast-iron grill ideal for searing Long Meadow Ranch's healthy, tender, and flavorful grass-fed beef and lamb. Community tables at Farmstead restaurantFarmstead at Long Meadow Ranch's restaurant wine program features Long Meadow Ranch Winery's elegant and balanced wines, as well as other domestic and international wines selected by Chris Hall to complement the restaurant's American farmhouse cooking. LMR and Farmstead wines are also available to purchase to-go at the Logan-Ives House cellar door. There is no corkage fee at Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch. Instead, a $5-per-bottle fee is collected as a donation to a featured local community-building not-for-profit organization each month. We call this program Corkage for Community. Outdoor bar at Farmstead restaurantOutdoors in season, guests can enjoy a meal among the espalier apple trees, drinks at the bar, or relax with friends and family by the cozy wood-fired authentic forge. Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 6 PM we offer a Growers' Happy Hour with specially-priced cocktails, beer, and wine and a special bar menu. We also offer Weekly Traditions featuring special friendly, casual menus on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nghts and on Sunday for brunch. Live entertainment on Fridays. The regular menu is available everyday. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Walk-ins are welcome

We loved the food, atmosphere and service at the Farmstead. We happened to be there on the fourth Tuesday of the month for fried chicken night and I couldn't resist. The fried chicken was the best I've ever had. We also shared a salad that was truly outstanding, due mostly to the amazingly fresh ingredients and the lightness of the dressing. For dessert we shared a chocolate cream pie that was amazingly delicious. The service was very good and friendly, the place was comfortable and unpretentious and the atmosphere lively. I would definitely plan to go back.

Not sure why I'm so enamored by the concept of a restaurant disguised as a barn... but Farmstead delivers on great farm-to-table dishes in a unique setting. We were in Napa Valley for father's day weekend and decide to stop for lunch after overhearing someone rave about their experience at Farmstead. It was over 100 degrees outside, so we opted to dine inside, but there are great outdoor seating areas in front and back of the restaurant. The dining area is a large open space with high ceilings, balanced with contemporary and rustic features. Very comfortable and down home feel from the restaurant and staff. Here's their pitch:

Our integrated organic farming system is built not only around wine making, but also includes world class estate-produced olive oil, a substantial herd of grass-fed Highland cattle, organic vegetable gardens, and an egg-producing poultry. Taken together, we are creating a modern, commercially successful, version of the family farm. All of our crops are organically produced and are certied by California Certied Organic Farmers (CCOF).

We started with white wine to cool down from the unseasonably warm weather. Great selection, as expected with any restaurant in this region. The menu changes frequently, but on this day we had the cheddar biscuits as an appie, then shared a salad and wild salmon, both of which were excellent. Nice portions too, sometimes a rarity in these parts. Our 6-year old had a grilled cheese sandwich, which looked so good I had to try.

All in, great food, service and relaxed atmosphere in a very unique setting. The fact that everything is organic, sustainably farmed, etc. is a nice bonus. We will definitely be back--next time to try the brunch.

I had the new pulled pork menu item and it was to die for! It was a really cute setting and all the food tasted so fresh. It was nice to sit outside and sip sparkling wine for the afternoon!

We live in Sonoma and went to Farmstead for lunch. The food was excellent. Much of the food is grown by the restaurant on the property or near by. The preparations were very tasty and displayed well. Service was good. We will definitly be coming back.
