Owner description: At Long Meadow Ranch Winery we produce and purvey our wines from two locations in the Napa Valley: our 650-acre home ranch, which we call the Mayacamas Estate, and our 90-acre Rutherford Estate in the heart of the Rutherford AVA, which includes vineyards and production vegetable gardens. Our 650-acre historic Mayacamas Estate is nestled high atop the Mayacamas Mountains above the Napa Valley. Here we produce award-winning red wines and handcrafted extra virgin olive oils - as well as grass-fed beef, eggs, and heirloom fruits and vegetables. Our family - Ted, Laddie, and Christopher Hall - has re-established 16 acres of vineyards first planted on the Mayacamas Estate in the 1870s and we have resumed producing estate-bottled red wine from this distinctive mountain "terroir." In plain sight from the Mayacamas Estate high above, the 90-acre Rutherford Estate is located on the floor of the Napa Valley in the heart of the world famous Rutherford AVA. It is situated among some of Rutherford's most celebrated historic vineyards. We grow extraordinary Sauvingon Blanc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in 74 acres of vineyard.

“Amazing Full Circle Experience”
Reviewed July 11, 2014

We just finished taking the Full Circle Experience at it was perfect. We met Eric at the Ives House and after a quick greeting he took us off to the Rutherford ranch. Eric showed us the organic produce, chickens, herbs and much more. Eric answered all of our many questions and was very knowledgeable. He then drove us up the mountain to the Long Meadow Ranch. The view from the ranch was amazing. He showed us through the winery, the wine caves, and the olive oil production facility. We also saw many of the farm animals including Custom, a huge Scottish Highland bull. Eric then drove us down the mountain back to the Ives house. There we were seated in a private room and met the chef, Tim. Tim served us a fantastic 4 course meal with a wine pairing with each course. The food was impressive in both taste and presentation. It was one of the best meals we have ever had. Every ingredient was incredibly fresh and most were from the farms we had just visited. They even had a personalized menu card for each of us. From start to finish, it was an amazing experience and a great end to our week in wine country. Thanks to Eric and Tim for guiding us through a memorable evening! We will be back again. We highly recommend this tour.

“Fun Winery and atmosphere”
Reviewed June 22, 2014

Next time I'll at the the winery's farm to table restaurant, but this time I had a wine and olive oil tasting. Friendly tasting room staff made my time at the ranch fun. I left with three bottles and some olive oil. Can't wait to share my new find with friends.

“Great Happy Hour”
Reviewed May 23, 2014

We got to Long Meadow about 3:30 and we were the only ones in the tasting area, so the staff member let us go to the private table. We then went to Happy Hour at the restaurant. This is very popular with the locals. The best pork nachos EVER and they were $5 on the HH menu. Lots of drink specials too. Full bar.

“Farm to Table Experience”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

We dined at Farmstead last year (and again this year), which is part of Long Meadow Ranch, so we decided to try their food & wine pairing. The visit takes place in a darling house and lasts about 2 hours or so. There is also a gift shop in the house. We were met by Sierra, who acted as our host and was just wonderful. We walked around a bit and she told us about the history of the ranch and winery. We then returned to the house and were seated in a private room with fun music playing in the background. As each course was served we were given a brief description of the preparation of the food and the wine with which it was paired. Everything was fabulous. The courses are small but filling. You can also book the food & wine pairing with a tour of the ranch for an additional fee. Sierra and Rebecca assisted with our reservations and were very helpful. We enjoyed our visit very much and would return.

We booked the Farm to Table Experience for lunch and could not
have had a better experience. Our trip thru Napa was an anniversary
celebration and both Sierra & Tim went out of their way to make us
feel welcome and more than special for the occasion. This was
not an anniversary party or function per-se but upon booking in
advance we were asked about our visit and happened to mention
that the trip in general was to celebrate same. What awaited us
was truly an experience we will never forget - the warmth and
attention to detail (inscribed and signed congratulatory cards)
was by far the best we had - and we had a lot of great experiences
in all of California wine country! Tim's preparation of the
excellent food ingredients was also top notch and the wine is
excellent as well - we could not have been more pleased & will
visit again when back in Napa.
