Owner description: Alpha Omega, located on the legendary Rutherford Bench in the heart of Napa Valley, is one of Napa's premiere, boutique wineries. Surrounded by vineyards and mountains, this rustic farm style winery's beauty is as captivating as the wine. Alpha Omega's winemakers are creating wines that reflect their passion and express the unique terroir that is Napa Valley by sourcing prized grapes from the various terroirs of Napa Valley - the valley floor, hillside, mountain and coast. The winemakers believe that by blending the essence of these select terroirs, they can handcraft finesse-driven, complex and balanced wines that express the aromatic profile of the best Napa Valley has to offer.

Very commercial operation - large, very busy, can't even park you car on your own. Despite this, wine was good and the experience was very enjoyable

When we visited this winery there was 6 in our party. We were greeted by a friendly greeter and sent to a table. The person pouring our wine was knowledgable and friendly. She explained all about the wines and how they tasted and answered our other questions and even joked with us during the whole tasting. The grounds and fountain were beautiful but we didn't ask if we could go outside so I'm not sure of those rules. We tasted 4 wines: 1 white, 1 rose and 2 reds. The wines were decent and they waived the tasting fee if you bought a bottle wine. I enjoyed my stay here a lot.

I had heard the this newer winery was friendly and happy to have visitors to their tasting room but I found exactly the opposite. It had a nice fountain and outdoor seating area (though turns out we were not allowed to sit out there, apprently it's for private functions). The host greeted us in a friendly manner but directly walk us to a space at the tasting bar without asking if that is what we wanted. The pourer promptly pointed to a printed page on the counter and "this is what we pour and it costs $20". There was only one option on the page that listed 3 tastings, 2 whites and a red. We decided to share a tasting since it was for only 3 wines. By far the worst tasting experience of the trip, we visted 7 other wineries. No waving of the tasting fee with a purchase, no tour or walking around the gounds and the pourer offered no information about the wines or winery and was barely attentive. The wines were alright though not my favorite. If they had put in a little effort, I would have bought a case (at an average of $50/bottle). Unfortunatly for them, we decided to leave without a purchase. If you want to try this wine, skip the tasting room, it's on the menu at many of the local restaurants.
