Owner description: HALL Wines is a family-owned, critically acclaimed premier Napa Valley vineyard and winery with five estate vineyards of classic Bordeaux varietals. As a specialist in Cabernet Sauvignon, each vintage the winemaking staff crafts 15 distinct Cabernet blends which demonstrate the unique characteristics and diversity of the Napa Valley. Their highly rated wines have included the 2008 'Kathryn Hall' Cabernet Sauvignon selected as Wine Spectator's #2 wine in the world in 2011, the 2010 'Exzellenz' which received 100 points from Robert Parker in 2013, and the 2006 'Exzellenz' selected as Wine Enthusiast's #1 wine in the world in 2009. HALL's Napa Valley estate vineyards are Certified Organic and employ cutting-edge vineyard technology to yield the highest quality grapes. In addition, the HALL St. Helena winemaking facility was the first LEED(R) Gold Certified Winery in the State of California, making HALL Wines a pioneer in the use of green buildings in the wine industry. The site maintains one acre of solar panels on its roof and uses 100% recycled water throughout its processes. Each of HALL's spectacular winemaking facilities, HALL St. Helena and HALL Rutherford, showcases installations from the Hall family's extensive modern art collection.

Truly enjoyed the ambiance and fine wine. The Kathryn Hall was one of the best wines I have ever tasted. Joined the wine club. Will visit for sure on next trip to Napa

We spent an hour and a half with Devin on a Wednesday afternoon at Hall St. Helena and had an absolutely fantastic experience. He gave us a tour of the facilities including a barrel tasting. The visit ended with a cheese and wine tasting experience in a beautiful, private setting. What a fine young man. We would encourage anyone who enjoys good wine to visit Hall Vineyards. Thank you Devin.

You can not go wrong with a stop at Hall, either the St. Helena or Rutherford property. The wine is incredible! They are best known for their Cabs, however they have some awesome whites and Pinots (Walt brand) as well. The staff is always wonderful and extremely helpful. While they do get busy, an appointment is recommended if you would like more attention, they will still cater to your every needs. The property at St. Helena is very nice as well, and will become even better once the new facility opens later this year! I would highly recommend this winery to anyone!

Have stopped by Hall St. Helena twice now and both times it seemed the staff were overwhelmed with the amount of people there for a tasting. Pours usually consisted of quick splashes with a short description (if any) of the wine with the staff then running off to pour for another group.

Also, the wine is good but unfortunately prices have increased drastically over the last few years and it is now in the realm of being overpriced.

If you do want to visit Hall and have a little more time I would recommend the tour at the Rutherford property over the St. Helena tasting room.

I’m so sorry your experience was disappointing … we most definitely aim to not only meet but exceed expectations at the winery. The tasting room does get busy, particularly on the weekends, which is not an excuse but an explanation for why they may have seemed hurried or not as engaging. We would love to invite two of you as our guests for a complimentary tour and tasting next time you’re in the Valley, as a chance to hopefully redeem ourselves and create a memorable and magical experience for you. My sincere apologies. Please feel free to email me directly at jhoar@hallwines.com ~ Jocelyn Hoar, Visitor Center Manager
