Owner description: V. Sattui Winery is a family-owned property located in the heart of Napa Valley, which was founded in 1885 and makes more than 60 different wines with dozens of 90+ point rated wines among its current vintages. It is a stunning, must-see Napa Valley destination for picnics, weddings and events, offering an impressively robust Cheese Shop with more than 200 selections, an excellent Deli directed by Chef Gerardo Sainato, and a Salumeria directed by Stefano Masanti. The sprawling estate includes two-dozen picnic tables nestled beneath ancient Valley Oak trees and tri-level terraces that overlook beautifully manicured gardens and vineyards.

It was SOOOO crowded. Not really what I was looking for on a Napa Valley vacation. The food was tasty but extremely overpriced. The only reason we came here is because our wine tour shuttle took us here and they said it's because this winery is the only one that is licensed to sell food. Anyway, it was crazy busy and our shuttle tour guide this was not packed at all compared to a weekend day (we went on a Thursday). Our wine tasting bar tender was spunky and cute but she had to turn away lots of people because the bar was already filled.

My wife & I visited the V. Sattui Winery midday on a Saturday with another couple while vacationing in Napa Valley. The winetasting was a great value, as one could sample 6 different wines for only $10. We enjoyed our samples greatly. The one disappointing aspect of V. Sattui is that the wines are only available for takeaway from the winery, or by direct shipment to home, with no retail availability at all. The selections of meat, cheese, sides, vegetables, etc. available for purposes of an on-site outdoor picnic were plentiful. We chose a variety of meats, cheese, a delicious loaf of bread & some fresh green olives, along with a bottle of cabernet for our own outdoor occasion. The grounds & atmosphere were very nice, & on this particular Saturday, there was also a variety of items barbequed on-site that were available for purchase. We enjoyed a leisurely couple of hours at V. Sattui & would classify it as one of the best places we ate or visited during our stay.

Took my wife to Napa for Valenties day. I stop at this winery everytime I go to Napa and i stop by about twice per year. We are wine club members at V Sattui and so are a few of our friends. The people are nice and the wine is so so good. You must buy the wine at the winery. they did not sell to stores. I am a reserve Cab guy. If your in Napa stop by for lunch and grab a bottle of wine to drink out at the tables. Its fun.

V. Sattui only sells wine at the winery and has been family owned for more than 100 years (i think have that right). Beautiful picnic area, deli for buying sandwiches. Staff is knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. We enjoyed tasting and buying several of their wines. Great experience, but not really anything like the more traditional wineries/vineyards. Take the kids and bring the dog.

This was absolutely the highlight of my Napa experience. It was just absolutely lovely outside. We used a buy one get one free tasting coupon, and spent a couple of hours there. We went on a weekend, and so they were having a bbq. The food was fine for the price. Would absolutely recommend.
