Spent a couple of days here while visiting San Francisco in early April. Should have spent more time here than SF. Everyone was so wonderful! They upgraded our room just like the web said they would. The room was incredibly better than the one we booked. Quaint cottage atmosphere. Check in was easy and the lady on duty was awesome with recommendations for local dining; even naming specific dishes. They were all great!
Don't miss Happy Hour; lots of fun with the other guests and the chef makes unbelievable hors douvres. Beautiful grounds. Great breakfast! Shuttle to the local dining was key, especially after a day of wine tasting! Would go back tomorrow.

We stayed at the Wine Country Inn for a week while visiting the area and wineries. Our stay was wonderful. The breakfasts were delicious, the afternoon wine and appetizers great and the rooms pretty and cozy. We had to change rooms toward the end of the trip and were given an unexpected upgrade. The employees were all polite and went out of their way to help us. We will stay there again in the future!

The staff are just about the friendliest I ever met and the rooms are amazing. They have free car service to take you to dinner at local restaurants as well. We stayed in one of the lower cottages and it was impeccably clean and everything worked. We will be back!

Room Tip: The cottages down below look out on a vineyard. If they are doing work on the vineyard, you can hear it in the morning. It's beautiful though.

We have been traveling to St. Helena for over 20 yrs. We love this city for its location and great little downtown. We discovered The Wine Country Inn back then and have been staying there ever since. We have slept] from the attic room in the main house to rooms in 'the barn' and this last time we were in one of the cottages. How nice to receive a personal note from Jim welcoming us back. Pick your reason to stay here: the location, the rooms, the deluxe breakfast, the evening wine and cheese tasting... We look forward to our next trip to California.

We've stayed here several times for personal get-aways. The location is ideal and places you mid-way between the best wineries in the area. The rooms are cozy, clean, and the beds are super comfy. We've stayed in a different room each time and its fun to see the decor variety in each room. We always use the in-room fireplace in the evening. The breakfast is fantastic and the staff is friendly. They are always willing to make recommendations and provide tasting discounts as needed/wanted. Its a little on the pricey side, but so are most places in Napa.
