Our favorite place in Napa is The Wine Country Inn...friendly, great service, great location, and beautiful setting. This was the first time on the main level in the main inn (room #7). Beautiful room, but unfortunately the night was disrupted by our neighbors coming in noisily late and frequent visits to the bathroom by the patrons above us (noisy floor, heavy walkers). We will be back, but in a different room.

Room Tip: Do not stay in the main building...too noisy

Overall, we would go back to The Wine Country Inn. The location is perfect... Beautiful countryside setting and close to cute St Helena. The grounds are lovely...l vineyards, garden, pool, etc. love the nightly shuttle to local restaurants... Huge help! Breakfast was good..l lots of choices. The happy our is also fun with lots of food. Fresh cookies are also a treat... The stocked fridge is a nice touch too. My only criticism is that our room (7) was dated. Older green shag carpet, fake floral arrangements.... Just spruce it up a bit with fresh paint, hard wood floors and lose the fake, dusty flowers.

Room Tip: Newer cottages seem to be better...lout also expensive!

We stumbled upon this romantic spot entirely by luck and we loved it! The gardens and grounds were lovely - filled with olive trees, flowers, birds and lavender - that reminded us in many ways of France. The pool and hot-tub were sun-filled and refreshing. We found the staff very helpful, including driving us to dinner every night free of charge - a bonus in wine country to avoid drinking and driving. Our driver even gave us the low down on menus for each restaurant. The breakfast buffet and evening wine tasting with snacks were prepared by the on site chef. The Inn suited our wish for an escape that was very upscale and peaceful but not pretentious.

Room Tip: You can view all of the rooms on-line to choose one to your liking.

for reference-we travel often and stay in great places. this place has beautiful grounds, friendly people, and a good location. however, the room in our opinion, was sadly, extremely outdated and not romantic, comfortable, or inviting. would not recommend, especially at the prices charged. my group had an amazing time visiting the best restaurants and wineries Napa has to offer and this place was the only disappointment of the trip.
