I stayed here 5 years ago, was delighted with the entire stay, and looked forward to returning. I now appreciate how important the room assignment is to the experience. Some rooms are roomier with comfortable seating, some have better views, and some have fireplaces while others do not. If planning a stay be sure to ask about the room features. I do want to give a "shout out" however for the modern, thoughtfully designed bathroom in our unit. Overall, the value proposition depends a great deal on the room. The breakfast is casual with a small menu, but food was fresh and appealing. I might stay here again, but would first investigate other options.

Spent a few days R&R here with 4 other girls before travelling onto SF. The room was lovely and big, bed was really comfy, great bathroom and shower, but the room smelt really heavily of wood smoke. In the winter, i guess this is not so much of a problem especially if using the fire, which was a feature, but when it's 90 degrees outside, it wasn't so great. Lovely the massage booked through the hotel, very friendly. Nice touches around the hotel of free water and fruit. Breakfast was fab, lovely fresh fruit to die for. Roxanne at reception was particularly helpful, the rest of the staff less so. Would benefit from great snack menue as very little available, expecially if you arrive later in the evening, but i hear that a restaurant is in the planning which would be welcomed.

We had the fortune of staying at the Harvest Inn in St. Helena, CA, in the north end of the Napa valley. We had driven by it many times, but this time we chose to stay. It is so different from other inns and lodges, with a central lodge building, a meal building, and separate buildings around the campus. The accommodations were wonderful, and the food for breakfast was amazing! We did not have any complaints, and the wine tasting that took place on the Friday evening was out of this world - we have been coming to Napa Valley every year since 2007 and we learned a lot of new things about the wineries in the area from the tasting. It was wonderful and we would not hesitate to come back.

Very comfortable beds, great showers, breakfasts sublime. But room smelt heavily of smoke and we had to help ourselves to the pool net to clean the pool of debris a few times each day. Great location, not far from shops and restaurants. Fantastic deli for great picnics. Had various spa treatments between us and thought they were great. Nice to have cold water freely available. A better snack menu would have been good when we arrived so tired. Used the complimentary car one evening but remember to book.

We stayed here for a friend's wedding. Because it was one night, we paid $100 extra for a total of around $600. This was not a $600 a night hotel. While our room was very nice, the grounds and facilities could use updating. I understand wanting to keep a quaint interior but at this price point the place could use a renovation. Our room was very nice, but again at this price point I would have expected better toiletries and not the generic kind. The patio out front had cheap uncomfortable patio furniture with an ash tray. The pillows weren't great. Overall, I thought this was more like a $250 per night hotel. That being said, it is hard to find a hotel for one night in Napa Valley during high season.

Stayed here with a friend that had a work conference. Lovely rooms, loved the fireplaces...yes, two in our suite. Breakfast had many selections to choose from. Would love to come back here in the Fall. Close to wineries. Visit to Pragers next door is a must. Will change your attitude regarding port wines.
