The Harvest Inn provides a quiet rustic comfort on 8 acres of pristine grounds, surrounded by vineyards. The rooms are huge, many with full wall stone fireplaces and back porch hot tubs. Breakfast in the Wine Country Kitchen, included, is fresh, healthy and ample. There are two pool complexes, one adults only, a koi pond and plenty of paths to wander with benches to relax. Staff is wonderful....all seem to truly want your stay to be special. Would go back tomorrow, if I could.

My wife and I had the rare opportunity to have a two day mini-vacation together, in early Aug. I happened to see a review of the Harvest Inn in St. Helena, Ca and thought I'd give it a try. What a surprise. The grounds, the rooms and the staff were every bit as wonderful as the reviews described. It was like having a little hide-away condo nestled in the middle of a garden. Large trees and bamboo surround the grounds, so you have a complete feeling of privacy. There are two swimming pools and two hot tubs available to all guests. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make dinner reservations for us and to find great places to see and eat. After dinner we went for a stroll in the vineyards that nestle up against the hotel grounds. With all the sterile look-alike hotels that are so pervasive these days, it's great to see a really nice cozy hotel still exists.

Fantastic room, location, and service! Their location is nearly ideal, being in St Helena and close to all the major Napa valley vineyards, dining, and shopping. Very comfortable rooms that featured high-end finishes, and a warm fireplace. Recommend very highly!

Extremely Beautiful grounds at this lovely napa property. We had a large spacious room but room location wasn't the best. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We greatly apreciated their flexibility when coming to clean our room. Wish there was room service!

This is a beautiful, charming hotel property for everyone, including kids, as we had our three kids with us. They take the maximum attention on everything, going out of their way to make you feel at home. Nice Rooms, we had two vineyard views king suites and they are beautiful, each one with their fireplace. Rooms deco, needs to be upgraded a little, but overall is a beautiful hotel, witting the vineyards of Napa. Great Spa as well..!

Room Tip: Choose Vineyard View King Rooms, more pricier, but the best morning and afternoon view. Very quiet a...

The Harvest Inn is a very charming 4 star property and with a little more effort and attention to detail it could easily be 5 star. Until then, however, it is not worth $300+ per night. The rooms are nicely appointed and all have fireplaces; some of them brick, wood burning hearths. Some of the rooms face the vineyard in back, which is very pretty. The A/C works well and the grounds are lovely. Beds are comfortable and the location is convenient. Now for the drawbacks. There are no microwaves in the rooms. The only hot food served each morning at breakfast is quiche, which gets boring after a couple of days! There is not a lot of interaction between the staff and guests, so many people are not informed about on-site events and local attractions and restaurants. If you are in a certain spot on the property, you might be woken up very early by a very loud trash truck or other truck unloading equipment. Because many of the guests come to sample many of the local wineries, some tend to get quite noisy late at night when they are loaded. There is no restaurant on-site, so you are forced to dine out for lunch and dinner. Some of the showers have old shower heads. There are no doggy bag stations for people who bring pets. Sometimes it is hard to find a bellhop to help with luggage. These are just some of the things that need to be improved for this property to move into a higher class.

Comfortable bed; very warm hot tub; quality construction with very good water pressure in shower and toilet with a flush that left me without nervousness; beautiful, complimentary breakfast and on sunday there is bubbly!; redwoods; and hour of complimentary wine and cheese that is more than edible; not "busy", the staff is very courteous; very centrally located.... I'm very critical, and I love this place! Just make sure you get a good deal (thanks, Hotel Tonight!)
